Adam Schefter: " Tannehill will be Dolphins starter sooner rather than later "

I really dont know if I wanna throw him to the wolves right away. My ideal situation would be to let him play in the preseason obviously, then let him sit and in week 10 or 11 if were are eliminated from playoff contention then let him come in and play for the final 5 or 6 games then roll into next season with him as a starter, I think he still has a lot of learning to do.

Based on the analogy that you have to play the quarterback who you drafted as a top 10 pick is where my support for starting him week 1 comes from. Otherwise, the best quarterback should start from day 1 and if that is Tannehill then so be it.
The familiarity with the offense and his knowledge of how it runs will more likely have him starting week 1.
 
Technically thats an easy statement to make, How soon is sooner? And how late is Later?

CHUBBYSPN: Chubby is reporting that Tannehill will indeed start this season.

Being a reporter is easy sauce.

He has a pretty good chance of starting day one
 
Let the guy who gives you the best chance to win play. I think eventually it will be RT but i don't think there is or should be any rush.
 
I was just watching the second patriots game last night. Now I know why Tannehill will start, at least over Moore.

I actually think Moore ends up traded to a team who'se QB gets injured before season or in first four games. We end up with a 6th or 7th rounder. We build up Devlin as much as we can for #3.

Moore did alot of nice things but unfortunately, if you lose games by suddenly hanging on to the ball too long and not throwing it away or not securing the snap, then your not the future.

Just my opine.
 
If he beats out both Garrard and Moore than there is no reason why he should sit
 
Shefter really goes out on a limb with his predictions, like when he said Peyton Manning would become either a Bronco, Dolphin or Cardinal's QB. :lol:

I'm just saying he's not basing his opinion/prediction on anything new or private. He's buying the logical argument that says Tannehill will play right away because he knows the system and the Dolphins are rebuilding.
 
Im still ok with Matt Moore for a few games, but people are saying Mr Tannehill is picking up the playbook fast, even with his head coach as our O/C.....
