Adam Schefter: " Tannehill will be Dolphins starter sooner rather than later "

i love the whole, "ohh no don't throw him to the wolves!!" gimmi a break. He's a man. He is playing in the NFL. He can handle it. If he can't. Then he shouldn't be a starter in the National Football League.

Exactly. He either has it or he doesn't.

People say his problem is lack of experience at QB. If thats the problem, then why hinder it further by sitting him?

Let me tell you all these expert/insider homers all said after we picked Tannehill that Miami better bring him along slow and let him develop. Now a couple of weeks later the same morons say he should start. Sports media is becoming a serious joke Whatever Philbin does with Tannihill whether it's start or sit for a year is good with me.

Leave it up the coaches. I'd rather moore start and suck so idiot fans don't start protesting for moore to play should tannehill get the week one nod.

Technically thats an easy statement to make, How soon is sooner? And how late is Later?

CHUBBYSPN: Chubby is reporting that Tannehill will indeed start this season.

Being a reporter is easy sauce.
Chubbs

"Soon" = Before Ryan Tannehill could handle this offense, so he could get hurt without moving forward.

"Late" = When games don't matter, so his teammates could be leaving Ryan Tannehill to fight alone.

Best case senario is that Matt Moore gets injured (I in no way am hoping for that or wish anyone would get injured) but this takes all the pressure off Tannehill because there will be absolutely no expectations for him becasue he was in fact supposed to sit a year and now would be "thrown at the wolves" so he would come in with no pressure and do his thing.....The same situation happend in Pittsburgh with Roethlisberger he wasnt ready and Tommy Maddux got the start and I believe week 3 he went down and Ben came in with absolutely no pressure ( I know cause I live in PGH and alot of fans didnt expect anything out of him and thought the season was shot cause he wasnt ready at all and was supposed to sit that year) and he came in managed games kept growing his confidence and had a great year. Obv you dont want any injurys but this by far would be the best way to get him in there the first year without ruining him by rushing him in.

I think a good indicator will be the pre-season games, as that will expose Tannehill to the speed of the NFL.

Honestly if he's comfortable with the offense, there's no point in him holding the clipboard. Although I'd like to see him really win the job outright, playing well enough in the pre-season to merit starting over Matt Moore rather than getting it out of entitlement. Moore SHOULD be the guy to beat for the job based on his performance last year, he shouldn't be forced to step aside just because the Dolphins had used their high draft pick on a QB. Not that I think Moore is the answer, or can lead this team to the playoffs, just saying he earned the right to be the undisputed starter until someone else takes it from him. If Moore plays the best, he should play, until the season sours - and then Tannehill can get a look.

needs to sit for at least half the season, no reason to rush him in. Matt Moore will probably have us at 4-4 anyways with at least a hope at playoffs so he might not get in until final couple games IMO

If he had teachers in front of him I would agree, but he knows the offense so let's go for it.
