1st of three that will be adjusted after the combine and after free agency is complete

1) QB Matt Ryan Boston College- Bottom line after every endless argument over who's the best choice, who's worth the pick, who's number 1, it comes down to one important question for Parcells. Can he trust Beck to be the number one? - No. Will Matt Ryan be an improvement over John Beck? yes. This pick is the only chance Miami has at improving the QB position eiother through the draft or free agency. Matt Ryan is the only logical choice here. Defense will be addressed in free agency and later rounds in the draft
(Alternate choices: DE Phillip Merling/ OLB Chris Long/ OLB Vernon Gholston)

2a) OT Chris Williams Vanderbilt - Potential Left Tackle 6'6" 320 with loads of untapped potential. Will need to get stronger but we may be able to start him on right side year one. If not its only one year wait
(Alternate choices: CB Cromartie, ILB Connor, WR Hardy, QB Joe Flacco)

2b) ILB Phillip Wheeler Georgia Tech - Might be too small to play inside in 3-4 but I think he can get away with putting on 15 pounds. He has speed to burn so even if he loses a 1/10th he should be alright
(Alternate choices: NT Ahtyba Rubin, CB Antoine Cason, TE John Carlson)

3) NT Red Bryant Texas A & M - If Rubin isnt grabbed earlier we'll get Bryant here. Paired with Solai and a vet we'll have our future and present rotation set
(Alternate Choices: TE Martellus Bennett, DE Jeremy Thompson, DE Langford)

4) TE Brad Cottam Tennessee - Really dont see Parcells getting his Tight End earlier due to the needs on the defensive side of the ball but Cottam solves all problems.
(alternate choices: TE K. Davis, OLB Bruce Davis, CB Trae Williams, Tyvon Branch)
6) OG Kerry Brown Appalachian St - The offensive line continues getting new blood and Brown is a 6th round steal.
(alternate choices: CB Chevis Jackson, CB Jack Ikegwuonu, RB Tashard Choice)
7) WR Steve Johnson Kentucky -We will draft one receiver this draft. My bet is its at the end.
(alternate choices: Wr Marcus Smith, TE Adam Bishop/ LB Bryan Kehl)

QB Brandon Morris - Marshall
QB Anthony Morelli - Penn State

I've said that I would be happy with either of the top 5-6 players...saying that the least player I would be happy with would be a QB...with the first pick...especially in this draft. Is Ryan in the same league with a Peyton Manning?
Is he as good as Rivers was coming out of college? There's far more risk with a QB...than any other player...the only exception would be McFadden in my eyes. To me he's not head over heals better than at least 3-4 other rushers in this draft...and there's great value in the middle rounds if we look at a running back...in fact my deep down wish is for the Dolphins to select Kevin Smith...he reminds me so much of M. Allen. Picking Ryan with the top pick just scares me to heck...I rather go with Henne or Flacco in the later rounds...but hey thats just me and you have your opinion too and I respect it.

Still working should be done in 10 minutes

im almost 100% sure jackson gets drafted. also i think that wheeler is big enough to play ILB. 6'2 245 isnt that small. i mean akin ayodele is 6'2 250 and the same thing with bradie james.

I think D Jackson also gets drafted but I'm going off of a ranking in NFL Draft Countdown that had him ranked 20th or 25th WR. It will be clearer after combine. But right now I was just rushing to get it in pre combine

I have Ryan ranked around the same as I had Phillip Rivers. I had Big Ben ranked number one QB that year and Eli number two and Rivers number 3. Its funny but I think all three are pretty much interchangeable now. Ryan is definitely not in the Peyton Manning OR Carson Palmer class but at the same time he's better than Alex Smith, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart. I think Flacco and/or Henne will be picke in the first. I think if one gets picked the other will go in same round. I think the Ravens, Bears and Seahawks are all possibilities

I think Davis might go 3rd but we'll have to see in the Combine. He's training hard that's for sure.

Matt Ryan is not a top 10 QB let alone a top 5, or 3 pick. He has nowhere near the package an elite college QB prospect should have. Beck and Ryan are the same in terms of prospects and where they rank. So why is Ryan easier to trust than Beck? Is it because he is an undertalented gunslinger in the mould of a Cutler or Favre but without the arm or the play diagnostic capability?

Give some better reasons as to why Ryan is even a better prospect than Beck was before crowning him a #1 pick worth 60 Million please.

I also think Ryan is the best choice if we don't trade down. People keep saying give Beck a chance...they said the same about Lucas, Feeley, Fiedler, Frerotte, Culpepper, Green, Lemon, who else am I forgetting as the "heir apparent" to Marino???

The bottom line is we can add all kinds of players on D and on offense, and it would not mean crap without a solid QB....you know it and I know it. Ryan I think will be as least as good as Ben Roethlisberger,,,and no 1st round pick is getting $60 million....not even close to that in gauranteed money....I doubt even half of this. I am sick of "waiting for next year," every year. Lets draft Matt Ryan. :woot:

Will security please escort the drunk outta here:lol:

Matt Ryan...rotten>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>{tomato..

Nice though AdamPrez, very thorough, though I do wonder if all of the CB talent this year means that a few players (especially Safeties) may be pushed out of the Draft?

not a bad mock but UDFA's
DE Titus Brown - Mississippi State
NT Jason Shirley - Fresno State
CB Dejuan Tribble - Boston College
will be drafted. they could go as high as the 4th round

Nice mock although the OT from Pitt (IMO) is a better fit in the Sparano/Parcells scheme. Hes more of a mauler.

Better fit not better athlete.

I think Otah will be gone before our 2nd round is up. If he's available I would take him over Williams though. I have Otah as the 3rd Tackle drafted somewhere around 15-25 overall

Could be right. Right now everyone's mock is all over the place. I think after the combine things will start to tighten up and you wont get 3 round disparities between mocks:lol:
