...as in cutting Mularky loose. Sign one of Linehan's offensive assistants to be the OC. That alone would be a HUGE plus for this offense.

From there, the following three things need to happen as well:
1. Get a healthy and explosive Daunte back for training camp. Prognosis = very good.

2. Sign a top knotch offensive lineman in free agency should one be available. Yes Nick/Randy......you will have to over pay. It'll be worth it. Give Hudson Houck actual talent to work with.....and then see how good your 2005 #2 overall pick can be as well as your 06' 2nd round pick investment.

3. Draft a OL, CB and WR on the first day of the draft......and not miss on any of them.

Assuming that can happen......and it's not far fetched at all for that to take place.....Miami will can easily turn 6-10 into 10-6 (or better)...........IMO

We already have one of his top assistants on the team Charlie Baggett. Has he ever been a coordinator?

Isn't interesting that w/o Jimbo Fisher a Saban led team is offensively inept?

How 'bout the Colts QB or WR coach for OC?

I have seen nothing at all to suggest Culpepper will be 100% ever again.

Malarky might make it easier to get Nate Clemments.
Players sometimes like to get reaquainted with a familiar coach. Maybe bring in assistant coaches from teams that have free agents we covet.
How about Jim Fassel for OC if he can help land Adalieus Thomas. We need to
sign one pro bowl caliber free agent, any position. Overpay if we have to, but shore up one position anywhere. Then draft Best Beast Available.

Uh, if we are gonna promote an assistant to OC, it would be nice if it was one that has been successful. Baggett is our receivers coach / assistant head coach.
Can you say our receivers are well coached? How many balls were dropped this year?

Uh, I was refering to the intial post about swiping one of Scott Linehan Asst. coaches. Baggett was w/ Scott in Minny and knows the system. That was my point I wasn't trying to get him a promotion, just letting the thread starter know the above.

I don't think we'll be hiring another OC from outside the organization. If it's not Mularkey again, it'll be either Baggett or Garrett. We've had what, three or four different OCs in the past four or five years, and it just has not been healthy for any offensive consistency.
