Well in this great win today there was a couple things i saw that i liked.

-One is that Pennington is such a smart QB that after watching tape and working with Ginn i think that was his mission to hit him when he was in the open field, knowing he has great speed. He prolly notice like others that Ginn can get open time to time but Pennington doesnt go for it becuz of lack of arm strength and timing but this week it seemed as if they made it a mission in this weeks game plan. Also once again Pennington manage a great game and even if he isnt the future he will help us continue to win until Chad Henne is ready and Pennington starts tp hurts us. Best QB hands down since Danny Marino.

-Jason Allen being put at CB wasnt that bad of a choice (well at least for this game). He played decent and look natural but just needs to attack when the ball is in the air.

-After half time got nervous like last week with the Ravens ramming the ball down our throats then scored but the D-fense adjusted and look pretty decent but most of all they made crucial take aways witch made the game. If we can continue to do that we will be decent but like always secondary is still a concern. WOW Andre Goodman actually step up at the end and attacked to knock balls down, hopefully he can continue that since we have no other choice but to play him with no Lehan.

-Game ball goes to 3 guys for me, The laces go to Pennington for a great managed game, cushion goes to Ginn for the great catches and runs after catch, and the outer pig skin goes to Pro bowler Porter for those sacks and take aways.

-Next Week adjustments need to be TACKLING IN THE OPEN FIELD, blocking better for the running games, and getting Ronnie more in it with out trying to kick it outside the tackles (run up the gut, screen plays, and dump offs).....lastly TEs to get more in it again and Cobbs too.

Anything is missed please add to it, i feel these adjustments was the key to our win today and hopefully will help us with the Broncos next week and expand it.

Kept the D lineman really fresh in this game by getting a lot of players extended playing time witch was nice.
Punter did a great job.
Ricky lets nothing bother him. He fumbles and goes on like it never happened.
good write up whodizking

Nice writeup. Id like to mention the offensive line also. We are just getting so used to Long playing well now that we don't even mention him....but thats a good thing. Also I thought that Justin Smiley had an outstanding game with a lot of key blocks.

As we make teams start to respect our passing game I think it will open up some more room for Ronnie and Ricky again.

Very true the O-line is great and J.Long is a great player that doesnt make to many mistakes. So most def a bright spot. And i hope you are right Bill about tha passing game opening up the running game. I just hope that Ricky stops Fumbling the ball, been a bring problem his whole career. Thanks for the compliments.

Jake Lost containment and caused a sack or a hurry today. Can't believe y'all missed that.

He isnt perfect and it will happen since he is a rookie but he is doin pretty well and we dont give up a whole lot of sacks.

Good analysis. What I learned today is that this OL is much improved over the disaster of one the past two years and the mediocre one of year's before. Smiley is a smart player and I noticed him on more than one play show a motor and block downfield aggressively.

Ricky is unflappable as duly noted. He made up for the mistake. Even if D's are ready for it the WILDFIN disrupts their rhythm and as long as we don't do it for more than 10 plays and 50% of the plays are for 4+ yards its worth keeping around until it is shut down and it does not become nothing more than a gimmick.

Pennington showed today that we can win with him. No, he does not have the strongest arm but he plays within his abilities and manages the game well. He needs the running game to be there and solid D. We all know we can't win on his arm alone. It was wonderful to see the completion to Ginn Jr. to set up the first TD. That is about as much we are going to see when stretching the field so don't expect a lot of it. But its about keeping the D honest enough so that there is not 8 men in the box everytime RB or RW is running.

Porter - what more can be added? He was a bust last year and he knows it. He has got the biggest chip on his shoulder and everything to prove. Kudos to him. If this D had one more playmaker like him - WATCH OUT AFC! Not to down an optimistic tone we are far from done on D. We still have leaks in the back four. Goodman played well today but he is not the answer and don't let one game fool you. JA shows improvement but Hill is still on this team. Drafting a cb day one in April's draft still sounds like a good idea.
