My brothers and sisters,
I just received a call at noon today from the adoption agency: They might have found a match for Aileen and myself. There are a lot of question marks associated with this news,
The mother is 38 years old and is 32 weeks pregnant.
Due date is April 26th.
She is of Cuban descent and has had no prenatal care until now.
She was in alcohol rehab two years ago but is clean now.
Father was a one night stand :dday:
Hubby is incarcerated. This is a sticky situation because although he is not the father of the child, he might still have some rights to the child. Legal paperwork needs to be filled out and signed by him.
She fell in love with our profile online and read our complete profile and confirmed that we are the ONLY couple she wants for her child (don't know the sex of the child yet).
She is on anti-depressants (Cymbatta). We talked to a pharmacist we know and he said that as far as anti-depressants go this one is not bad (kind of like (Zoloft). Jeff, (or anyone else) do you know anything about this medication?
We should be getting the background information on her in the next two days and she will be meeting with the agency on Monday where everything will be discussed (legal papers and such). I guess we would meet her next week also.

I need your prayers, well wishes, happy thoughts on this matter and even your advice. This decision will not be an easy one. Needless to say, The Rev is a wreck right now.
One more thing, please don't share beyond this forum . I plan to post this here and at the premie forum. Thanks people. God bless.

Congratulations, Raul. You know you have my prayers and positive thoughts.

Wow, that exciting news Raul! I hope it works out well for you.

I'm hoping the best for you and the child Raul, and it sounds like the child would be far better off with you and your wife.

My prayers are with you.

My sincere prayers go out to all of you, you, your wife, the child, its biological mother and the two "other" men. May themother and the men all do what is best for the child not just their egos. I have to believe what is best is being with you guys and that will be my prayer!

 Unequivocably true and without question Raul. I have you and Aileen and the baby in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Raul, like everyone else, I wish you and your wife the best. I am well aware of the ups and downs in "waiting" for an adoption. One thing that you wrote did stand out to me, and you might want to ask some questions...she just recently started prenatal care and is on anti-depressants...
Did the anti-depressants coincide with her beginning her prenatal care? Or, was she on them before? It is odd to me that a doctor would prescribe them if she were receiving no prenatal care previously.
It has been my experience that a doctor won't even prescribe antibiotics if you're even trying to get pregnant. Just something to consider.
Keep us updated.

real question is... is she(the mom) hot :dday: this is important, cause if she gives you a daughter I need to know if my son as a potential GF there..

:bighug: Good luck and my prayers to you that all will work out for you, and the others involved:bighug:

Raul, I have forwarded the pharmo info to my wife and asked her what she knows. She is an RN for Children's Hospitals in Minneapolis so she has a lot of knowledge in this arena so she will give you a straight answer.

But congratulations on this man, for you and Aileen as I know it has been a long journey for you and it is now really only starting!

All the love from the Tylers!

Cheers

Paul

My prayers and well wishes are with you all, Raul.
