AFC EAST! Best running division in football?

Guys we just drafted a back up at RB - I wouldn't proclaim him to be a pro bowler so quickly. Lets see if he can hang and what he does first before proclaiming anything about Ronnie Brown.
I can not believe people are still hanging on this. It is shocking ot me. Its not like he sat on the bench when CAddy was running. He was playing fullback, or they were in a T formation, or he was in the slot as a reciever. The man was just more versatile that Caddy so he was easier to move around. On the origional topic, I think we have the second best back in the division...Curtis Martin has to begin his decent into retirement at some point..he has got to be running out of gas. what is he, 33?

I'd place my vote for either the NFC East...

Tiki Barber, Clinton Portis, Brian Westbrook/Ryan Moats and Julius Jones

OR

the AFC South...

Edgerrin James, Chris Brown, Fred Taylor and Dominick Davis.

Double :roflmao:

I said "pretty good"...not the best. It's just as silly to say AFC east, with Brown (unproven), Curtis Martin (old), McGahee=stud, Cory Dillon (average).
Also, all three Pro Bowl backs will not be out of the AFC east...what about Edge, LT, Holmes, Lewis???

have you looked at his stats in college. Not too impressive in my books..He needed more playing time. He hasnt proved that he can take NFL pounding and carry the ball 25 to 30 times if needed. There will be days when he has to pound the ball and he better be ready..

Cory Dillon average?!?!?!??! He is at least above average. Unless all average runningbacks break the record for most yards in a game.

Curtis Martin maybe old but he did run for more yards than the stud McGahee

I guess any way you look at it he did spit time, buthow could Tommy bench either one of these guys (CAddy or ROnnie). Ronnie made the best of his situation, and I respect him for honoring his commitment and not transferring. He could have probably "started" on almost any other D1 team in the nation.;) I am just trying to be optomistic.;)

and everyone else in the league. Martin will prob start declining but as of now he is an elite back.

What do you think? Starting RB's in the AFCE:
Corey Dillon
Curtis Martin
Ronnie Brown
Willis Mcgahee

Think there's any other division in football that can compete? It's a shame that we have to play each other twice a year and beat up each other's backs. But i think there's a real good chance that all 3 probowl running backs come out of the east this year.

There is alot of great RB in the AFC East

I like brown we will have to just wait and see. I do know for one thing, that if this offense is anything like the one in Minny then brown should be able to transistion well.

Im kind of wondering if he will be another Thurman Thomas, etc etc!

Which in my mind would be even better than a pure RB.

I hope so. I would love it if bill fans come to hate Ronnie Brown as much as I hated Thurman Thomas. That guy was so freaking good.

Whatever, average, above average...point is, all three pro bowl backs will not be coming from the AFC east.
Get this straight, your talking to someone who is a life long Dolphin fan. I am in no way a fan of any other team. My whole point was that I don't believe that all three pro bowl backs will be coming from the AFC east.
And, trust me, it sucks to say McGahee is a stud, but it's a fact
