AFC East Champions since 1996 - 16 years in a row

Blame Scott Norwood, they beat the Giants and should have won that Super Bowl.

That Super Bowl win made the Giants, Bill Parcells, Phil Simms, as I believe Simms broke his foot or ankle and was out for the season and Jeff Hostetler came in a won a Super Bowl for them.

Going back to Norwood, it was a long field goal, I believe was 47 yards and it sailed wide right. The Bills lost by a point.

That's why I am a firm believer that you have to establish and make history, because before you know it, you'll be history and only a *footnote of losing four straight Super Bowls or never winning one.

Not too long ago, NY Giants fans were on the verge with chants of getting rid of Eli Manning and Head Coach Tom Coughlin because they always came up short. And if my memory serves me right, the Giants went to the Super Bowl twice as a wildcard and beat the New England Patriots twice.

As for the Bills, they had to contend with that unstoppable Cowboys team of the 90's who had the total package on offense and defense and free agency hadn't kicked in yet.

You got to win now because tomorrow may never come. I'd rather have 1 bird in my hand, than 2 birds in the bush as the saying goes.

d-1

They made 4 straight SBs, had 4 chances to win it all. I don't feel bad for them.

Whenever brady does finally retire, can I hope belicheat goes with him?
Riding off into the sunset together...holding hands...it would be beautiful! :)

Pats Dolphins rivalry, hardly a rivalry. Since after 2000, the year Brady entered the league, Miami has at best drawn a spilt and been swept 4 times in seasons 2 game matchups with New England. Given New England's accomplishments over that period, I guess Miami should be proud to have only been swept 4 times, but this year ain't over yet.

It was a "mini" rivalry early in the last decade. And though it was one-sided, at least it was a contest between 2 teams on roughly equal footing talent-wise. The Pats had Brady, but the Dolphins had a ton of defensive talent (and Ricky Williams at his prime for a couple of seasons). In 2003, for example, Miami lost two very hard fought games against the Patriots (losing in OT in Miami, and losing in NE without the defense giving up a touchdown, thanks to pick-6 Fiedler). After 2003, the Patriots winning ways continued while the Dolphins nose-dived (and they still haven't stopped the bleeding).

And even though the season isn't over yet, I'd say the Patriots have at least a 75 percent chance, at worst, to win their sixth straight game against the Fins when they play in NE later this month.

I keep seeing all this talk of "when Brady retires" and believe me I want him to retire just as much as the rest of you, but shall I remind everyone that in 2008 with Matt freakin' Cassel as their QB they still made it to an 11-5 record! Look at what Cassel's doing in KC right now. This team is not going to disintegrate just because Brady retires. Maybe if they lose Bellicheck too, but this team has a lot of life left in it much to the chagrin of Phin fans everywhere.

that team was 16-0 the year before and against one of the weakest scheds ever went 10-5 w/ Cassell as starting QB(and won another game w/ Brady starting when Cassell took over after injury).
