No. 3: Vontae Davis, Miami Dolphins

Analysis: Davis is still somewhat of an enigma, despite entering his fourth season. There are times when you see flashes of greatness -- but there are also times when Davis lacks focus and consistency. A case can be made that no AFC East corner had a better second half of the season in 2011 than Davis. He recorded four interceptions and a sack in his final eight games. Perhaps that will provide the momentum Davis needs to play at a high level for 16 games. There's no question Davis has the tools to put it all together.

Kind of dumb for them to only list 3 spots. But I'd honestly put Vontae at #2 over Cromartie. Probably McCourty next, Smith would be up there too tbh

He was arguably a top corner in the NFL the last 8 games of the season, and for the first 8 games he was playing on a bad hamstring and missed 4 of those games. I think it's safe to say he should have been higher on this list above Cromartie.

Safe to say huh? After some bad games in the beginning of the season, Cromartie was having a excellent season shutting his man down. Without much of a pass rush.

If you want to go by Football Outsiders and Pro Football Focus, Vontae Davis had a better season than Cromartie... all while covering teams #1s instead of teams #2s, while Revis had them absolutely locked down.

NYJ have the best CB tandem in the AFC East, quite possibly the NFL though. Sorry, Philly!

would hardly say absolutely locked down, besides jets fan, the rest of the nfl does acknowledge revis has and can be beaten, just ask Brandon Marshall, and imagine if he actually caught the ball....

The list is dead on for the moment but by the middle of next season Vontae will be #2..

Rchard Marshall deserves more consideration than any of the other choices he mentioned.

cromartie is overrated and average at best in man to man coverage, dude is holding machine who benefits from having revis on his team to guard no 1 receivers.

Marshall would answer but he's busy trying to catch him after a pick 6. Revis was beaten last season by Steve Johnson, and that's really it. You're being a bit of a homer saying that Marshall beat Revis more than Revis beat Marshall
