I think what truly bothers me about the AFC east is not just the fact the Fins seem to be truly incompetent...but the fact that the whole division is truly inept. Sorry, other than the Patriots. Now, let that sink in for a sec. Since Marino has left the fins, the Pats have only lost the division title once...and by luck, that was to the Fins. How can three teams that have a 75% combined chance to win the division title every year, not win it more than once in 14 years. This goes far beyond pathetic. I mean...Every single time the Pats win the division, all three of these teams get a better pick than the Pats.

I don't need a Superbowl...I just need Brady to retire.

Cuz the Patriots miraculously win EVERY SINGLE HOME GAME. Statistically impossible, but true. So there's 8 wins. Then they only have to win 2 away games and they're in the playoffs. Easy.

That's what you get when you have a good owner, good management, good GM, good coach, and a great QB.

It also helps that at least two of the other three teams have had horrible everything that I just mentioned during the same time period.

yeah no one constantly goes 8-0 at home like they do since 2002. Very suspicious. I think the cameras are still rolling for their home games.

actually since Marino retired Miami won it in 2000 and 2008, NYJ won in 2002. the real key has been Brady since 2001, he has won every div title except one(NYJ 2002). Until he retires they will dominate the division.

When Marino and Kelly were in the division it was Miami and Buffalo that dominated. The Bills and Dolphins have long suffered from poor QB play, bad coaching and terrible personnel decisions. The Jets had a period of the only good QB play in the division, other than Brady, when Pennington was healthy. Mangini and Tannenbaum built a nice roster and they became a threat for a couple seasons but thats it.

we were a threat for a while until very recently but you are right it comes down to QB play, if you don't get it you aren't winning. the one really good year you got out of a QB you won the division.

Yup......this division has been mediocre for the past decade outside of the Patriots.

Time to change that.

the bottom 2 have been mediocre most of the past decade, we were good for many years just not as good as them. early on Miami and NYJ were good teams, Miami fell off and now Buf and Mia are decent and we suck.

The NFL should address the inequity of the divisions in a aggressive way. When the league started the divisions made since based on regions & travel but in 2014? I would love to see the strongest teams in the same division the next season. How sweet would it be to see NE,Pitt,Bal & Indy have to face each other to get into the playoffs.

Brady will play until he body breaks down or he's injured. Which may only be one season or one play away.

It's tough to be in a division that is so dominated by one team, I think it actually sucks for the NFL while there is parity in most other divisions.

But honestly, this organization only has itself to blame. And this descent started under Huizenga. Not Ross. Ross but a "fixer upper" franchise.

They should expand the playoffs and do what they do into the NBA and NHL. Where playoff teams are seeded based on record. 1-8 by conference. Division leaders I believe are placed in the top slots... I think.....

We have the worst division in the NFL with 29 losses except for the South divisions and the NFC East has 30 losses. If we can turn a 2-2 record against the east next year and sweep the jets and split with the Bills and Pats that would put us at 6-4. We should go at least 3-1 against the AFC south hopefully beating the Texans for the first time in history but I wouldn't count on that but if so we'd be at 9-5. From there we'd have a good shot at the playoffs. Hey if the Cowboys can break their playoff drought, we can too. They did it with a consistent run game and good QB play. Miller was injured yesterday, so I'm don't think he can be our Demarco next year. We really need to finish below the Bills not a likely scenario since they go to NE and we have the Jets at home. We'll get a 2nd place schedule most likely unless both teams lose we'd get a 3rd place schedule. We are now in a 6 year playoff drought tied for longest in team history and 6th longest in the NFL. The Cowboys broke a 4 year playoff drought yesterday. The Bills have the longest playoff drought in the NFL with a 15 years. We are the 6th longest team without a playoff win 14 years. So being the 6th worst at everything puts us behind 26 other NFL teams. Just a little perspective about the heart of the recent Miami Dolphins under Fillbin and Sparano.

there is nothing wrong w/ the way the divisions are aligned. strength of divisions changes annually, a few years ago the NFC West was like the NFC South now and has been the best the last 3 seasons.

Indy would get destroyed.

Indy blows.
