The afc east is reallky starting to look like the nfc east to me. It look like patriots, dolphins, jets, and bills are all becoming super bowl contenders just like cowboys, eagles, redskins and giants. Do you guys agree?

The Jills and Jest are without QBs. I don't think anyone could say they are playoff contenders much less superbowl contenders. I mean miracles happen (no one could have thought we were division champs last year either)but to say the bottom two teams are superbowl contenders is well.....nah.

Give it 2 more years IMO

I don't think two more years will help. By then we will have won two more superbowls and swept the east two years in a row and the jets will have had two more drafts where they draft losers and failures. All that will be for sure in two more years is that we will have once again recaptured our rightful place as owners of the AFC EAST. :woot:

Sorry but I have been over on youtube watching those 2009 dolphins higlights and I am a little pumped still.

I agree to a point, I think every term plays to its strengths, each team is differant, but a common thread is for a big fast defense, and a Offense that can pound the ball and streach the field. Guess you might say that is every teams wish list so to speak.

I think the AFC East is still a good deal away from being at that level. I mean that division consistantly sends two teams to the playoffs (and a good deal three teams) and usually the teams that dont make the playoffs are not too far behind.

AFC East is along way from that standard.

The only AFC East team that is NOT a SB contender, in my humble opinion, is the Dolphins. Why? Because of your albatross, Chad Pennington.

After feasting on a weak, last place schedule and getting his 9-11 wins/blowout in the WC round of the playoffs vs. elite defense, he will do what he always does the next season--that is, go down injured and lead the team to a dismal record when facing a 1st place schedule (Steelers/Titans/Chargers D's are going to feast on him instead of Bungles/Texans/Raiders D's of last season ). Chad Pennington took the Dolphins as far as he can take a team last season; the Super Bowl is nowhere near for the Dolphins.

I want to know when the redskins and cowboys have seriously contended for the superbowl? please leave the espn hype at the door. the 08' fins have done just as much as that franchise has in years... and the redskins.. please, big time underachievers always.. freaking NFC east always overrated

If we're not a contender because of pennington you just lost any credit you could possibly ever have, you guys don't even have a quarterback, yet. think about it

Our QB situation is much better than your Pennington-led one. You couldn't even see this after getting blown out of the WC by the elite Ravens' D? Good lord...been there, done that.

Unknown, 1st or 2nd round pick/franchise-type QB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Known, Damaged goods Pennington.

Damaged good that embarrassed your franchises FO. Leading us to lead the AFC east. I'd say thats more a contender than what you have. Talk about blind homerism.

But whatever, you have a lot of time on your hands coming to a rival site. I'm not expecting you to get a life anytime soon.

The Jets, IMO are the weak link- they got a QB but will he be any good his rookie season? That being said i believe Rex Ryan will have their defense playing well. The Bills have a good QB in Trent Edwards, but Marshawn Lynch being out will hurt them immensely. I think we may be in the toughest division in the NFL.

But we have TWO 2nd round QB picks... and they're learning from one of the smartest veterans in the league. How the hell are the Jets in a better QB position? You guys live or die by Sanchez right now, at least the Dolphins have options. Options = competition. Competition breeds winning. Let's not act a fool. You guys couldn't even win with one of the greatest QBs of all time.

Way to completely miss a point, and not address anything in the OP with this entire post...this is not a team comparison post, if you bothered to read, it's about SB contention. Anger much?
