AFC EAST Offseason Grades by Scouts Inc.- Phins get the Worst Grade - " C- "

"It seems clear that the Dolphins are a worse team now than they were in February." Wait what... How is it clear we are a worse team. Who is this guy?

i love it. Last year when the Pats signed Ocho and Haynesworth it was called a brilliant mvre by the master B B
Ocho did nothing and Albert never played.
The Bills got some help. The other three did little.
One A (Bill's) and three C's to me.

This is so ridiculous. How Miami is worse than they were before, I'll never know. We lost Marshall. That's it. We added a large amount of VERY solid depth (Marshall, Guyton, Marshall) and took some fliers on hit or miss draft picks. The safest IMO being Miller and Martin, with the biggest risks being Egnew and Tannehill

It is all based on the fact we lose Marshall who was a large part of our offensive. They don't understand that lots of us were glad to see him go. The 2 picks were a bonus. He would have lasted about a week with our new coach.

i think what happens is the rest of the league looks at our offseason additions outside the draft and says no one was interested in ocho or garrard and right now it looks they both are a big part of our plans so how could we have had a great offseason...can't say i blame em for that...

anyways...this offseason grade will really be all about what ryan tannehill becomes...same for the draft...if tannehill becomes a franchise qb it doesn't matter what anyone else does or if they all bust...the grade will still be an A

I agree that the Bills had the best off season, but I dont think we had the worst. (NOTE: These are NOT my rankings.)

Bills = A-
Pats = B+
Jets = C+
Phins = C-

Why do u think that? Im not agreeing or disagreeing with u, but just asking for ur input? Having the worst offseason out of 4 teams is not as bad as it seems. I agree with the rankings, maybe not the grades though. I would give the Jets a B-. They didn't grab a huge player in the off season, but they didn't lose anyone significant either. They had a few needs and I think they did a good job of fixing them with what little cap space they had.

by the way people can say it was addition by subtraction with b marsh and yeah that's fine and good and all but you still have to replace that PRODUCTION...and if the plan is to replace that production by committee well if i had a dime for every time i'd heard that i'd be a rich man...that stuff never works...it just means you have another damn need come the next offseason you must fill

I need the thanks button for this...

Good point but in the WCO isn't the ball spread around more anyways ? More catches for TE's and RB's. I'm not sure Marshall would have fit in here. After a game or two he would have bitched about getting more passes and our new coach will not put up with that. I least I'd hope not.

A bigger question that needs to be asked, other then the Draft (Where it's an unknown, and both teams could have gotten themselves equal amounts of talent...at best for the Jets) who did the Jets add that makes their off-season better then the Dolphins....Tebow?

We were 7-9, 7-9 and 6-10 with his production. I don't remember denver winning many games with him either. The guy is a great talent but you would be surprised how an attitude like his can bring a team down. He was never a big part of the wins we had anyways. We only won 6 games last year and in those 6 wins B Marsh averaged around 60 receiving yards and 0.333 TDs a game. I think you will see an increase in production from Bess, Bush, Clay and Fasano that will cover what we lost with Marshall.

Don't pay any attention to draft grades until 3 years after the draft....period.

We were #23 is passing last year. You dont think its possible we could surpass that in 2013 without Marshall?
