I didn't trash anything so don't put words into my mouth. I think B. Marshall is phenomenal. However, if somebody is going to point out hypothetically why our WRs "may" suck, i'll point out the same for your side. And btw, you're overrating bess

Sorry, but I feel Bess is underrated. Henne was inconsistent last year. With a consistent QB play(which I feel Henne could be), he will shine even brighter.

Pats,Jets,Fins,Bills

It's early but I would guess 9-10 wins for Miami

I have to be honest, I was really down after the qb trade fizzled but was encouraged
after taking stock of the team compared to last year's.

OC + Daboll has to be at least a slight improvement on (wildcat, wildcat, 3rd and 12 for Henne)
DC Nolan for another year, thank you GOD

C + Pouncey :)
IB + Burnett in, Crowder gone. Edds returns
OG + Carey slides over, good depth too
CB + Allen back, more experienced Davis, Smith and Carroll
DE + healthy Odrick, Merling return
OB + Misi a sophomore, Taylor returns as reserve
OT + went from 2 to 3 starting caliber players on roster
NT + Soliai seems to be in great shape, Fields and McDaniel provide great depth
HB + R+R hit rut, fresh legs and wide open offense likely a boost
WR + added Gates' speed, Moore and Wallace more experienced
FB + Clay adds versatility
S Bell long in tooth but Clemons and Jones learning
QB swapped out Thigpen for Moore, Devlin could have value
TE no change, still in need of complimentary guy

11/14 overall O+D positions have been upgraded, while the other three
have stayed about even. I believe the phins are about 3 upgrades away from SB contention

Do not discount this kid DJ Jones OT they signed from Neb. Neb has not been half bad the last few years and this kid had a lot to do with it. No big name here but he works hard. Definately heads and tails better then Murtha, his name should be up soon. Wish he had a full OTA thing and longer camp but it is what it is this year.

I guess I mixed up you calling Miami's receivers "unimpressive" with trashing them. My bad, they seemed synonymous to me. Also, I have to LOL at saying I'm underrated Bess. Name me the slot guys that are better, go ahead. Name me better receivers on third down. You won't make it very far.

Overrating Bess? You are a clown. Bess is underrated in the NFL and by the media because he plays for the phins. Just like Welker was when he was a phin. You can't name 5 wr who had a better 3rd down conversion %.

ESPN player stats has Bess tied for 29th in the league on 1st down conversions, and tied for 12th in the league on conversions on 3rd down. Thats a pretty good stat. Clearly not top 5, but I believe this reflects on the QB as much as it does the wide out. But definately no slouch in 3rd down situations. I am not sure what the rest of the fans everywhere say about Bess, but I don;t believe he is underrated. A solid second or third option at wide out.

I'm not going to troll.
Take a good hard look at what the Bills have going on in Buffalo.
seriously look. don't just scan ESPN.
There is a pile of playmakers and very big boys with a serious chip on thier shoulders.

Heck, just for fun... look up Michael Jasper on youtube....

i think NE wins the east with miami in 2nd. i dont think the jets will be as good bc of thier o. they arent as strong with edwards and now jerricho gone. and their special teams isnt scaring anyone without smith. i think IF henne can step it up we will be in contention for a wild card spot. hell imho our d is so nasty i dont think we even need the o to score that much. thoughts?

B/c of our O which should be much better than a year ago?

Let me ask you a question, what do the following players have in common?

Santana Moss
Chad Morton
Jonathan Carter
Jerricho Cotchery
Justin Miller
Leon Washington
Brad Smith

Answer: They have all returned kicks/punts for TDs(Moss, Morton, Miller, Leona nd Brad all had multiple TD returns) since Mike Westhoff became the STs coach. We lost leon Washington a year earlier who was a better return man than Brad Smith- we'll be fine as long as we have Westhoff.

There is a clear line in this division btw the top 2 and the bottom 2 teams and Miami isn't in the top 2.

I agree.

Pats
Dolphins
Jets
Bills

The Dolphins possibly get a wildcard berth.

This sounds so unlike you, you are usually so pessimistic:lol:

Wait wait wait...Jets fans are trashing Miami wide receivers? That's laughable. You have an above average #1, a guy who hasn't played in over two years, and a guy who couldn't make the practice squad on Miami. Miami, on the other hand, has an NFL elite and one of the best slot wideouts in the NFL. Do better.

We have a top 10 WR as our #1, Plax will make an impact, we will likely have Derrick Mason as our #3 and watch out for kerley.

We should have beaten the Jets 2x last year. Rexy boys luck runs out in 2011. Lets face it, how many wins in the last two years did the Jets just pull out of their asssesss? There were many games that team had no business being in but for some bizarro reason or another, they won. Crap, in 2009 they were handed the play offs on s silver platter. Time for Sanchez to get prison raped this year by the NY Media and fan base.

I lived the first 45 years of my life there. I watched as the Jets came to Jersey as the Red headed step children. I watched as a guy named Namath put them on the map. I understand their fans, they will fight and insult anyone who does not agree with them but when things go south ? LOL they will be the first ones throwing the hand grenades at the coaches, players and sometimes, each other

My God, I know their fans better then some of them know themselves. Sat in Giants stadium the first time the Jets played there. Only reason I went was my friend Angelo had free tickets. I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have had up to that point in my life, sports wise. The first Jets fans to arrive at the Meadowlands were complete drunk a holes that knew nothing about the game of football other then they were in Jersey now. Man, it was comical funny bad for years.

You mean you should have been swept. The only luck in the 2 games for either side was on Miami's side w/ Holmes dropping that TD and getting 2 plays 6 days after the NE humiliation.

There is no fear of going back to being a franchise like Miami has been the last decade. This next decade will be a great one, we have one of the most talented teams in the league w/ all our young talent locked up for years, we have one of the best GMs in the game and one of the best coaches. You may want to accept the reality that we aren't going away anytime soon.

I think the Bills are a year away from competing from the dweller spot . . . but I like what they are trying to do. Thigpen has had some statistical success with Gailey before so we will see. I do think Fitzpatrick is not the answer.

Miami has the defense to win the division. They have a playmaker at RB, playmaker at WR, one of the best slot WR's in the game . . . added with 3 rookies that are expected to make a big impact this year. QB is an issue obviously, but I think the biggest enigma, just like last year, is the OLine. They gotta get that OLine fixed.

I'm gonna say Patriots win the division, and a wildcard berth between Miami and the Jets will be decided on New Years day in Miami.

Marshall is a great possession WR but he's not a playmaker, Bush can be a playmaker catching passes but not rushing the football.

i think pats, jets, bills, phins in that order.

great prediction I agree we suck this team is horrible I'm predicting 6-10
bring on the optimistic criticisms. but the optimists about this team are true idiots

If that makes you feel better Junc

We clearly didn't use Marshall right last year . . . but Marshall has MORE than enough big plays under his belt to be considered a bonafide playmaker.

Here is the potential . . . hopefully Daboll can get the best out of our QB's and their connection with Brandon this season.

Hell the first play is Marshall at his finest . . . vision, ability to break tackles, speed to run away from defenders . . . sounds like a playmaker to me.

YOU miami ****S are sleeping on buffalo. our d is going to be awesome. we have possibly 7 new starters on defense. merriman is dominating in camp and is back to 100%, in other words the best defensive player in football. dareus, williams, troup, and carrington is unreal in power. we added a healthy barnett who was the 3rd best 34ilb in 09. kelvin sheppard is a thumper in the mold of david harris. our secondary is awesome. fitz is the 2nd best qb in the division by a long shot. our oline is improved.

1 pats
2 bills
3 jets
4 phins- your qb sucks

I didn't say he couldn't make a big play, every good player makes a big play every once in a while. he's not a playmaker, he's a great possession WR.
