I can't tell you why teams that are favored lose in the playoffs at home. I don't think anyone would argue that the Jets were better than the patriots, but they were better on that day, and ultimately, that's all that matters. I won't make excuses for the Ravens game, but Brady lost his life preserver in Welker. I don't know if that would have really helped the beatdown that they took.

The Pats defense seems to have improved. Although, with the signing of Mark Anderson, they may be going a pure 4-3, we'll see. The offense is def better. That team went 14-2 last year and they look to be better. The best you have is reaching that Brady could have a down year. please...
Ok buddy we'll see come playoff time when the patriots love fest comes crashing down. Honestly I don't see how you think that offense will be improved either. The Jets beat the Patriots 2 out of 3 times last season by the way.

Marshall has had 3 great years with over 100 catches and over 1000 yards recieving and had 6,7 and 10 touchdowns in those 3 years. The 1 year Marshall hasn't had over 1000 yards recieving he started 1 game. Marshall can get touchdowns if he is used right, which he wasn't in Miami.

Ok what about Reggie? He's had Peyton throwing to him his whole career and the past 2 years he only had 12 YPC is he not a playmaker anymore?

Where did I say he wasn't a top WR? He's a top 3-7 WR, he's just not a playmaker.

Wayne has had the advantage of peyton but he's also been on teams w/ a million options and a QB that spreads the ball around. That hurts #s too.

Obviously he's not making the big, explosive plays the last 2 years but he is still scoring TDs

He scored 6 TDs last year. Thats good enough for Wayne to be a playmaker but 6,7, and 10 TDs in 3 straight years isn't good enough for Marshall??

The Browns beat the Patriots too. They better? Tell me, who have the Patriots lost from last years team on offense? Who have they picked up? You think they are worse because they picked up Ocho?

He has 16 the last 2 years w/ his low yds per avg. The last time h had les than 6 was 2005 and only once since 2003 has he had less than 6. The only year he has 3 or less was his rookie year and Marshall just had 3 last year in year 5.

Winning one regular season game is different than beating a division rival 2 out of 3 times, both times coming at NE and one of those wins in the playoffs. I certainly don't think Ochocinco at 33 makes that team better. No doubt in my mind that a Vontae Davis can cover Chad at this stage in his career.

It's almost like you think the fact that they got dominated two years in a row in the postseason at home is a coincidence.

Marshall was able to eclipse 1000 recieving yards despite missing 2 games, and since Marshall played for one of the worst red zone offenses in the league last year TDs cant really be accounted for as he would've had a nice handful if he actually had a QB to throw them or a coach to use him right.

Again Wayne has had Manning to throw to him his whole career, not putting anything against Wayne as I think he's a great reciever but it's not very hard to find the endzone when you have a redzone opportunity 6 times a game.

Wow can't believe the patriots love fest on here. Did people forget this was the second year in a row that they got flat out dominated in the playoffs? We have a much better chance of being better than the pats than we do the Jets. The pats wideout core still blows. Ochocinco has 33 is a bad addition to that team. He has lost his explosion and might disurpt the timing of that offense like he did last year with the Bengals. Not to mention, their defense although sightly improved with Haynesworth still isn't anything better than below average. Not to mention if Brady gets hurt or has a down year (he is 35) that team will be lucky to be .500.

The Jets are much better than Patriots. Better defense, better offensive line, better wideout core, and better running backs. A better quarterback does not make all that up.

Jets
Patriots
Us (wouldn't be surprised if we're better than the Pats)
Bills

I'm trying to understand your thinking here writing this. How and who would you say makes them have a better WR core?? Cause as far as I know they have Holmes, Plax (literally just out of jail and just got hurt practicing) and Patrick Turner (God, I thought he'd turn out good but he couldn't even crack our wr's).

Ok I'll give you that I was reaching on the wideouts. Forgot the Jets lost Braylon & Jerricho. But I don't take back anything else I said, and still believe Ochocinco was a bad pickup.

the Patriots wide receivers and runningbacks were so bad that the team lead they lead the league in scoring.

Marshall is a top WR, a GREAT possession receiver. He'll get a million catches and yds will accumulate but he's not a playmaker.

If you want to disqualify Wayne based on who is throwing to him go ahead.

We all know that is b/c of the QB who could win 10+ games w/ you and I as his WRs.

the PAtriots' defense improving doesn't hinge on Haynesworth's performance.
