St L just went up 10-0 on the donkeys. FWIW; Tennessee winning on MNF tomorrow would also help.

East is between Miami & NE
North is up for grabs
Indy should claim the South
West is between Denver & KC.

Miami needs to beat Denver & the Ravens. then, at a minimum, split w/ NE & the jets.

It would not hurt to have KC, Houston, Cincy, Cleveland, & potsburgh start circling the drain.

I don't want to see Denver lose today, they will be razor sharp next week. I was hoping they would win by about 40 and show up next week fat and over-confident.

Let them lose. I want home field advantage through out the playoffs with Miami as the #1 seed....

Unfortunately, we've done enough this season to warrant a lot of team attention. Regarless of todays outcome for Denver we were going to get their full attention next week.

Broncos with 12 yards rushing in the first half in St Louis.
One demential team that plays right into our strengths

I actually think we are built to give Denver a really good contest. If our offense can score 24-28 points against them, we can win the game.

I get why people are focusing on today's games and choosing who to root for based on our record. But to me, all of this is fairly irrelevant.

The Ravens game is the most important game of the year. We win, theres a fair chance we make the playoffs. We lose, and i think we're done. With the way New England is playing i dont think we have a realistic chance of winning the division. Even if we go 5-1 down the stretch, i doubt that is enough. So its Wildcard or bust. With the way the Steelers are playing(minus that Jets game) and their relatively easy schedule, the Ravens will be pushing for a wildcard slot as well. After losing to KC, we cannot give Baltimore control of the tie-breaker.

Of course, this assumes we take care of business and we win the games we are "suppose to". Theres no reason why we shouldnt sweep the Jets. None. They are very terrible in damn near all regards. But then again, they were hardly world beaters last season and we split the series. All its going to take to knock us out of the playoff hunt(realistically that is, im sure there will be all sorts of convoluted scenarios in which we back in) is 3 losses. Lets call a spade a spade and say the Broncos game is a loss, we could only "afford" to lose once more. And that loss cannot be to the Ravens.

If we are really a playoff caliber team beating the Jets, Vikings, and Ravens shouldnt be a problem. If we lose even one of those games, it proves we are nothing more than pretenders. Yet again.

Both Miami & the lambs have really good DL's. So, the phins have a chance. As I said to my brother, No way that Peyton loses 2 in a row. That was before I learned Sanders & Thomas went down. Now, who knows?

I agree; its all hypothetical at this point & will be until after Thanksgiving.

No arguments that the Ravens game is the most crucial. Why do they also seem to be Miami's nemesis Late Nov & December? Though sweeping the jest would help alot.

Realistically, splitting w/ the jest, beating Minny & then Baltimore or Denver gives Miami 9 wins and put them on the cusp IMO.

Playoff seeds (right now) before Indy & NE kickoff...

Pats 1 Cards
Denver 2 Lions
Colts 3 Eagles
Cincy 4 Falcons
Chiefs 5 Packers
Phins 6 Cowboys

Patriots mugging Colts receivers and not a single call for colt in their home stadium

According to your signature you don't give a hoot about other people's opinions but since you gave us yours I will give you mine.

This stuff about who we should beat and maybe not or who will beat others is really a debate in circles. Everybody will come up with scenarios in the what if category by substituting wins and losses against opponents. All you have to do is cut it down to the basics.

Any team sitting at 6-4 after 10 games and wants to put a claim in for the playoffs has to win its remaining home games. There is no buts or ifs or what yteam is the opponent. Your home games must mean a W. With 3 home games left that puts us at 9 wins.
If you look at our remaining away games and you think that we are worth diddly doodley then the game against a currently 2-8 team is a must W. No buts or ifs even if that team is a hated rival. If we lose any of these 4 games we probably don't make it to the playoffs and we don't deserve to go.

That would leave us at 10-6. Maybe that will be enough but worst case scenario it is 2008 all over again and 11-5 won't be enough for some teams. to be on the safe side you need one more from the remaining 2 away games. Take your pick. If we hope for an AFC East title we pick the Patriots game.

Basically you have to win all your home games and the Jets away game to even consider playoffs. It is that easy.

The Patriots aren't looking like a team whose about to lose a couple games.
