I Think Miami Should Swap Places W/ Indy For A Spot In Afc South. Wqe Will Be In Warm Weather And We Wont Have To Worry About Facing Teams In The Snow As Much. Not Te Mention We May Not Have To Worry About Ne In Twelve Feet Of Snow On Week 17.

It would be the best move for our team to succeed, and is also the most logical decision based on conditions. However the NFL would probably lose alot of money, and there would be less tradition. I am pretty confident that a December 12th game, Miami vs. Buffalo (in Buffalo) seats much more than Tennessee vs. Miami in hot weather. There is too much history between Miami, and the rest of the AFC East.

no thanks, i like the rivalries we have

It would make sense, but I think the NFL deeply considerd those rivalries when they realigned. There is no way Miami shouldn't be in the South, but those Buffalo, New York and New England games are invaluable.

How many times do we have to go through this? We are in the AFC East because of our historical rivalries with the New York teams. Nobody in our division cared about Indy, so they went into the new division.

i love the rivalry we have with the east so i personaly would rather stay in the east even though it would make more sense for the dolphins to be in the south rather than the east....anyways the compition in the east isnt as strong as the south, yea we still have the patriots but the jets and bills are messes now and nothing is more fun than pouncing on them...the south isnt that stellar neither but the jags are decent, the titans have a future with vince young, and well the texans just suck...........im not saying that we wouldnt win the south because i think we would easily, and i also believe we are taking the east this year so it would really just be pointless to change divinsons

I disagree, we'd be much better off in the South in regards to winning. Whenever we play Buffalo, New York, or New England they come to play. They could be a 2-14 team, and they still come to play. Something about our history makes EVERY game a toss-up.

If we swapped places with Indy, the only threat would be Jacksonville, who we could easily beat (in my opinion). Tennessee is a potential threat in about 2-3 years. Houston still has a long way to go, and Jacksonville will peak soon, then degress.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

I love our rivalries with the jets, Bills & Pats.

I'll wager that those who are for switching divisions are under 25 years old, and those who don't want to switch are older. I'm 30 and would be upset if we didn't face these teams twice per year.

Our rivalries are so intense that it's sweet every time we win won of those games and we burn every time we lose, records aside. There's no doubt that fans of the Jills, Patsies, and Yets feel the same way. With the South teams, it would be ho-hum, nice game afterwards.

Mind that I didn't coin those corrupted nicknames because we use them so often, simply because of the rivalries. The Colts have been called the Dolts but you don't see that much around here and I've never heard of any insulting corruption for the Jags (Nags is obvious) or Titans.

Exactly. Playing in hostile conditions on the road in stadiums filled with rowdy opposing fans allows the team to learn to play under extreme pressure. When we return to the playoffs this year that experience will help. Plus, IMO the two divisions that make the AFC are the East and West. The most tradition and rivalries. Until last year when the Jills and Jets sunk to the bottom, the AFC East was one of the tightest and most talented divisions.

I agree totally!!Everyone loves the rivalry my behind!! You guys don't love it when we are gettin our behinds handed to us in december against these cold weather teams. Playing in the South would be great!!

Why is this thread getting one star? Although i've heard this before, it's a valid point. It doesn't get much further south than Miami, Florida. We should be in the AFC south. The only reason we probably weren't moved when they added the four extra divisions, IS to keep the rivalries. I'm not saying I want to switch divisions, i'm just saying the AFC south is where we should be.

The ***uars? or the ***s, suits them just fine.
