If you are one of the negative "the season is over" posters then you should stop reading here........ Now to the ones that still interested in this team and a possible playoff run. A Miami win at NY next week and a Raven loss vs Pittsburgh and we will hold the 6 spot going into week 14. Granted we let the Panthers off the hook and I don't like the play calling and some other things this team does but we are clearly not dead. We still can get into the playoffs. The odds of it are actually pretty good of that happening.

agreed. We're close. It just gets frustrating sometimes because we have blown soooo many close games this season. Here's hoping we sweep the Jest and beat out all the AFC teams for that final spot

i dont see how we can lose to the jets or buffalo which would make us 8-6
can we beat the steelers? they are an aging team and we have the x-factor in wallace and he will be pumped vs his old squad(its basically a home game for him)
finally the pats well if we cant beat them at home and take care of those 4 games and finish 9-7 we seem to hold alot of tie breakers just need ravens to not tie us

I certainly would rather lose to the Panthers as an NFC team than to the Jets. OUr last 5 games are AFC. Not real confident with so many teams in the mix including teams we play on the road but I am still optimistic for next year.

It should be another interesting offseason. Trade Jonathan Martin for a 6th rounder with more fight in him.

also id just like to point out that the final game of the season is against the jets at home
now if we enter week 17 needing just to beat the jets to make the post season

Still have a chance but to lose so many close games and to have a chance to do something, anything, is typical for this team. I was shocked they won last week for what it's worth.

the jets i agree with if geno smith is starting. the guy has made every qb in the nfl look like dan marino.

however, the bills will be a tough game.

the bills have a good defensive line and the game is in freaking buffalo in december, prob going to be 20 degrees that day. that will not be an easy game.

truth is rest of our schedule is not easy. as bad as the jets have looked, there defense is still decent and its not like we light up the scoreboard, so that has the making of a tight low scoring game, in pitt will be very tough, home vs the pats i dont really need to elaborate, and in buffalo will be tough.

that being said, if we do lose to the jets next week, we r pretty much done for playoffs unless we won out after that and got some help along the way.

we had the game today and let it slip away. it sucks.

I see this team going 2-3 in these last 5 games. Beating the Jets once and a huge upset of the Patriots. Don't see them beating the Jets twice or winning in Pittsburgh or Buffalo. This team can't run the ball at all and the passing game is not good enough especially with Sherman calling the plays. The Defense is good but tends to give up at least 3 long drives in every game. Good defense but not close to being elite, and definitely not good enough to carry this team into the playoffs.

I am frustrated that we are even in the position we are after losing to thad lewis, blowing a 17-3 lead against NE, losing to a winless tampa bay team, and having plenty of opportunities to put Carolina away early today! There was hope if Sturgis wouldn't have missed but the game is not on him. You can't kick field goals against good teams and expect to win.
