After signing either Manning/Flynn, trade up for Blackmon

Defense still wins Super Bowls....granted New England's defense is not elite they are good when they need to be....and their team as a whole is solid....Miami needs a RT, S, CB, QB, TE, pass rusher....we are not join to fill that this off season, to many wholes....So in my humble opinion they should sign Flynn, draft a pass rusher to get pressure to the QB and give our secondary a little help....draft a TE in the second and a RT in the 3rd...then try to get lucky the rest of the draft....
I wouldn't mind this scenario. Flynn, Upshaw and Fleener would address 3 major problems

...Another thing. The WCO offense is primarily a short to medium controlled passing game in which the Qb gets rid of the ball quickly. The deep throws happen during the occaisional play where there is a broken coverage or the WR beats his man deep. The main attribute for this style is quick feet, and quick accurate release and well as pre snap reads...

WRONG. The WCO is no longer what it was when WALSH/MONTANA first really popularized it. If you look at GB's "O", not only do they throw a lot of 15-30 yard passes, but also A LOT of passes longer than 30 yards. That's one of the things I like most about the MODERN day WCO. It can bite you ANYWHERE on the field. And our new HC and OC are 2 of its best minds! Eureka!! I've been feeling a lot better recently, just THINKING about it.

I'd much rather trade down and nab Alshon Jeffrey or Michael Floyd or even Kendall Wright while accumulating another high pick !
Blackmon is NOT a top 5 talent. He's a guy that i believe has reached his ceiling, will produce early in the NFL but never reach elite status. He's no Dez Bryant, ON the field I mean.

Wtf are u talking bout. Blackmon is a ****in monster.

And if reaching his ceiling means playing like Megatron in college then yea I guess he reached his "ceiling"

Nice write up. Just out of curiosity, if you think 3 teams ahead of us will probably go QB, and that Tannehill might be available to us later in the 1st round, who is the 3rd QB that would go before our pick at 8/9?

I think the 3 QB's will be Luck (Colts), RGIII(Rams or Cleveland), and Weeden(Washington). I think Weeden has opened some eyes and he will get picked by a desperate team in front of us.
If we trade back 10 spots or so, we still could take Tannehill if we can't sign Flynn.
I hope we stand pat and draft one of the 3 play makers with our top pick (Blackmon, Claiborne, Richardson) to go with signing Flynn. With Moore, Flynn, and Henne, we are very deep at QB.
I am very intrigued with QB Osweiler(rd 3-4). That guy might be a sleeper. No one is taking about him. He needs some work, but he has the tools. Great potential.

He plays receiver like the Johnson boys. If selected by Miami, he would be instantly the best receiver on the team.
Paired with Brandon Marshall, Bess, Bush, and Hartline in the spread...look out.

I am excited about the possibility of Blackmon and Marshall opposite each other. If we can make Bess into 80% of a Welker we will be unstoppable!!!
I would trade up, but I dont want to give up way too much. So they would get our 8th pick and I wouldnt mind giving up next years 2nd rounder, but not much more. I also want to add Fleener, an OL and OLB and some safety help and I think we are Top 5 team in the league!!!

.

He wouldn't be better than Marshall, Marshall is a top NFL WR. Blackmon has the potential.

But remember this, Green is the only rookie WR to dominate his first year since Moss

I'm not sure I agree with this...at all. He "Might" be better than the WR he replaced in Dez...Dez is a very mediocre WR at this stage. He is nowhere near being the caliber WR that Marshall is. No where even remotely close.....at this juncture anyways.

after the game on saturday, i like the alabama DE/OLB and the cincinnatti RB Pead, though richardson would make me hot in round one to go along wth bush

I said he shouldnt be a top 5 pick, he's no AJ Green, or Megatron, or Fitz, etc. Certainly not worth our team trading up and giving two 1sts for. That's WTF I'm talking about. duh.

The only rookie WR to make a huge impact in the last decade was Aj Green.

The only one.

For some reason i thought you were talking strictly about dolphins and meant yatil green, woah........ somebody slap me.

Are you being sarcastic or just incredibly ignorant? Julio Jones had a pretty big impact as well this very year. He had more touchdowns while having 100 less yards.

Doug Balwin was the leading receiver for the Seahawks while being a UDFA rookie THIS YEAR!

That's just THIS YEAR that have shown you to be hilariously wrong.

:lol2: He said huge Impact. Meaning huge impact. Doug Baldwin and Julio Jones ? Who's hilarious ??

.

No I mean taking on double teams and winning them, Making Jonathon Joesph look average.

Thats what I mean.

 Doug Baldwin, he was on a losing team, he never did anything huge to help his team win.

What I truly meant by that was.

Being a rookie and coming straight out a dominating being the teams go to guy. The number 1 man, the guy teams gameplan against. Green dominated, even with a rookie QB.
