I was hoping the Jason Taylor era was over, but based on our draft selections it appears that we may need to sign him, or are there other options?????

Was originally un-convinced of the prospect of JT re-signing with the Fins, but after neglecting to address the OLB position in the draft, Taylor really does become a good option.

I'd like to see him splitting time and rotating with Joey. I think we would see much better production from them as a tag team than trying to have them both on the field at the same time.

I love the thought of Wake and Roth on one side and Porter and Taylor on the other.

I also like the idea of getting rid of Charlie Andersons salary this year and Torbor's next year.

why??

yes i believe JT will come back ,and play a role like Tracy Armstrong

Tracy went to the pro bowl as a backup player

Think that is the only way you can play Taylor. Cant see him having the legs to last a full game starting anymore, so interchanging Taylor and Porter would mean less time on the field for both players and thus making them fresher for longer.

If Wake struggles then you will also probably see Taylor come in for Roth on passing downs and leaving Porter on the other side.

Just a "been there, done that" kinda thing... JT was a great player for us, it's just time to move on. But, if he is the best/only option out there, and he can help the team, I'd be cool with it...I am just don't have a man-crush on him like some of the other dolphans.

JT will not be back a message is being sent the rest of the pack. There can only be one lead Dog and you ain't it.

Parcells had a sit down with him and so did the rest of the management, they try tried he refused to listen, so they traded him.

Haven't you noticed that everytime the news media bring this up with Jeff Ireland he says he will not be back without saying it?

He will never be back, if they bring him back then the players will be running the ship and that will never happen.

That's some pretty bad rationale.

They traded JT because he was being a bum and represented big value. Now, if they think they need options or depth at OLB, they won't hesitate to bring him in.

It has nothing to do with players running the ship. I don't even get how re-signing JT would indicate that.

I think they will bring him back. They'd be silly not to.

I think we need to wait until a year has expired since hes been traded in order to pick him up.

Thats not true at all. He can be signed right now since he was released by the Redskins. They don't have to wait just because they traded him right before training camp last year.

That was an April Fools joke posted by another site. It was such a good joke that some main stream media outlets actually ran with it. There is absolutely no truth to it though.

With that said, I still highly doubt Miami will sign Jason Taylor.

I agree, just look at the way Porter deals with the media and any questions about the team. Joey is nowhere near being politically correct but he is always a 'team player' about anything that involves the coach or management. JT has never been so politically correct. He always has something to say as if he were much more importnat than just the DE of a team.

If he returns it will become a circus immediately. JT will ALWAYS have something to say about everything & the media eat that stuff up. It isn't good for the team.

signing Taylor

Are we going to go after Taylor or is New England going to beat us to it?

Are you kidding me with this thread?

Come on!
Look around there are about a million posts about this.
