After the season fans wanted a new head coach & a 1st round QB

Well im glad the owner wanted a QB and the coaches vouched for him. Sherman and Philbin set many offensive records in their previous coaching stops. In them I trust, however results will have to wait 1 or 2 years. Patience will be tested

Your wishes have been granted. Things looking great for Miami.

Well I wanted a GOOD quarterback drafted in the first round, so my wish has not been granted. Things are looking terrible in Miami again. Tannehill blows, quote me cuz I've been saying it since last year.

I hope we wait before throwing him in, we need the OL fixed before handing the reins over to T. Don't want him dodging tacklers like Jason Campbell had to go thru in DC. A year or 2 of groming will be great...More or Garraud should be able to hold it down for that time...

is good to see Dolphins draft RT and it does NOT mean right tackle

Ozzy rules!!

Ireland does hit on his first rounders. I hope this is more of the same, I have like the guy for a while.

I'm just not sure if this was his or the owner..tickets vs bpa.. owner wants ppl in the seats, so aplease them...but did we get it right, I don't think T is a day one starter, but down the line...so we didn't get an immediate impact player, which a top 10 should be...I'm praying T becomes that.

i pegged the pick 2 months ago...well done jeff...whether the guy pans out or not it was the right call...and had you traded out kuechly would have gone and kc would have been sniffing...maybe zona also

something i'm noticing...the cost to move up is much lower than i expected...we could get back into round 1 looks like real late rather cheap

Well, I didn't have any reaction. Which is better than previous years.... definitely remember a 15 minute rant over Ted Ginn, Jr. as my friends laughed at me in my own house. At least they were more shocked at my rant than the pick. :)

My initial thought is comfort. I'm glad we drafted a QB that is familiar with our coaches and our system. I wanted Flynn AND Tannehill. I wanted to double down on a problem that needs to be fixed once and for all.

The only problem I have with the pick is just my opinion. I personally would like to see Tannehill sit for 2 years. But I know that's improbable unless Matt Moore continues to prove us wrong. I hope he does. I hope he buys us 2 or 3 years to cultivate Tannehill to be the value that this high pick demands.

Which brings me to the problem I see with Tannehill in a Dolphins uniform. This fan base has no patience. And I don't believe Tannehill will get the time he needs to develop into what he could become.

He needs a mentoring path very similar to Aaron Rodgers. I just don't see the fans, owner and GM willing to wait that long. Rodgers is great because he had time to learn the NFL and his offense. He was polished when he stepped onto the field. Tannehill is a project. He needs a lot of polishing. He needs time.

To the fans I say, we've finally gotten a commitment from our coaches, GM and owner to draft a first round QB. Don't let impatience ruin the experience. We need a lot of pieces yet. No need to throw this kid to the wolves. Let's go build a team.

This pick is an investment in our future. Be patient.

Now he's a Fin. Let's all hope he turns into a star. I think he can. I think he could start day one. Knows the system already. Will actually have full-time to work with coaches instead of part time like in College. Lets go Tannehill

I don't disagree it would be nice to sit but we aren't talking about a hall of gamer in front of him. If he proves he's better lets get him on the field.
