After this week things will be okay

Surtain will play.

Besides our FOURTH corner(Poole), is BETTER than the rookie the Bengals START.

Whats his name?

Who`s got Chambers?

Who`s got Booker?

Where is McMichael?

Sorry, it was a "draw" to Gordon.

2nd and 4.

Huddle up.
Who's got Chad Johnson?

Who's got Peter Warrick?

Who's got Kelly Washington?

Who's got Rudi Johnson?

Who'd got Carson Palmer

Not to be a downer, but come on man....Cincy has got some weapons. They have big, scratch that, huge play potential on offense, and they make those plays. This will no be an easy game for us, and if Surtain can't take Chad Johnson at least alittle bit out of the game, he could have a big game.

Unfortunately the reality is that Gordon won't have a big game because he is still fairly new, and the o-line stinks. And apparently some of you have convinced yourselves that Feeley is the next Marino, but in reality he is a 3rd stringer with 8 college games under his belt. The Dolphins D will keep this game close, but they should be able to run the ball consistently on us.
Lawrence, you are always so d*mn negative! If you don't like something about our team, back it with why you don't like it. Don't just throw something out there and not elaborate.

In case you didn't notice: My statement was some people are worked up about Feeley as if he were the next Dan. The facts I used to support that he hasn't proven anything is that he's been nothing but a 3rd stringer, and only played 8 games in college. If you disagree with me that's fine, but saying I'm so damned negative, because I have a realistic grip on the situation, only makes you look like a blinded homer.

good luck... But I think it is Carson who will be giving the league a reality check that he is for real.

rookie qb´s normally don´t do very good against miamis secondary, i admit he looked good against the j***, but still this is a different unit this coming week

I am a blinded homer!! :D

J/K.....it was nothing personal, I just think you try to bring us down all the time from our excitement. I understand Feeley hasn't proven anything.....what I was looking for is reasons why you don't think he'll succedd, if you don't think he will. We all know he is no Dan Marino, but I think with recent successes of Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, we have reasons to be exicted.

Your own relaity is negative. Wow Hasseloback was proven when he was first given teh job wasnt he? Heard a ton about him coming out of college! Delhomme? Brady was sixth round pick and an inactive guy for a year, not even third string, he was their 4th qb sitting in the stands. They were all backups, 3rd string or worse. So dont give me we are homers because we like the potential teh kid has. He has a strong arm, was adversely effected by teh elbow injury in college, which was worse than a knee injury in that it effected his arm strength upon his return which hurt him. He started over Harrington and lost it becausae of teh injury not being outplayed, he started over Harrington. He had the credentials, he got his arm strength back and has a chance. Noone said he was a guarentee, we just have optimism and like the potential he has shown. You dont like it ffine, but quit acting like you are the superior fan, cause that you definitely aint.

we have one of the best receiver corps in the league and the #1 route runner in the nfl in CJ. He will get open and Carson will find him. Carson will make mistakes vs your secondary but they wont cost us the game. Rudi will definately get going vs your disabled/aged front 7.

And btw, the rookie wont be starting at corner this week, he'll be starting at safety - his position.

OK WKRP it will be a fun game for sure. We don't get to play you guys very often so I'm looking forward to a classic tilt between two teams with long histories.

Carson played a Jets Defense that is still finding ways to gel together last week. This is an established D you are dealing with Son. Dont come in here with your Carson Palmer Poppy****. Palmer is a good young QB, but I guarantee you that he hasnt faced a D like this yet.

Surtain or no Surtain this D will have no problem shutting down Palmer and anyone else that the Bengals want to throw at us.

Just like we shut down David Carr and Tim Hasselbeck last year? Our defense is good, but it's no longer a dominating one. Plus, it's going to get worse if our offense keeps going three and out this year.

How many starts did Tom Brady have before the start of his first SB season? How about Kurt Warner? Jake Delhomme?

All three were backups before being given the chance to start. All three went to SBs in their first year of starting. Two of them won. NONE of them were highly touted before given the chance.

The lack of experience doesn't guarantee failure and your constant reminders of his experience level is redundant and (since it doesn't prove anything) pointless.

I don't think either side should get too ****y. Should be a close game.

Bengals fans have many reasons to believe they'll win. Dolphin fans have many reasons to believe we'll win. Can't wait for the game.
Excellent post and pretty much covers where both teams are right now. I'm curious to see Palmer, as I am to see AJ. Palmer if he has a good arm and is accurate as people say may have some success. Remember the 5 yard rule is allowing receivers to get some separation.

Find me one person that has called him the next Dan Marino......

Gordon will be fine and he will rush for 75+ yards and maybe have a bigger game if things go right.

Feeley isn't the next Marino, and I never said that. But they need a spark. The Bengals defense is soft and they should be able to throw the ball downfield to Chambers and Booker. Gordon at least gives them a threat!

We do have to play better run defense, I will give you that but I also think we will.
