After visiting both Broncos and Dolphins camp, SI's Peter King believes David Garrard has been more impressive in practice than Peyton Manning.
Per King, Garrard was "terrific consistently through practice," and "in general, looking extremely comfortable in a West Coast offense." Added coach Joe Philbin, "this guy's got something to him. I like what I've seen. King also says he's "told" Garrard has outplayed Matt Moore and Ryan Tannehill all camp. Most camp reports need to be taken with a grain of salt. It does sound like 34-year-old Garrard is clearly healthy and fresh after sitting out all of 2011.

Better than Manning? Come on Pete...I think someone is trolling the Phins.

Maybe Manning is struggling with the read option offense they put in for Tebow, lol.

Peyton's greatest strength is when he can look at a defense and make changes pre-snap. Now at the same time the Broncos don't have the most skilled skilled position players.

Still, if Garrard does better than Peyton I'll be shocked.

Both of these QBs are a hit away from being administered to by Hawkeye and Trapper John

We ALL will be! Nice rumor though, give em something too wonder about, especially Bellicheat. There is no pressure on Miami, they have already wrote us off.

I knew we got the right guy glad the biggest authority on football out there King is validating that fact. Thank god we have David Garrard, I see big things for him. When we go into Foxboro and win a shoot out everyone will be on board.

I don't put much stock in Peter King's opinion at all, but let's remember that Manning still isn't 100% and might never be again.

Perhaps Garrard is more comfortable in Philbin's system thn Manning is in Denver. Garrads performance has reportedly been very good thus far but I want to see how he looks live and after he takes a few hits.

Manning is really good (not only) because he is able to do a lot of things at the line, has all the tools, and works his tail off. 2 of those 3 things are in limbo right now. He doesn't have teamates that are as talented or as versed in what he does in Denver. Also he may be only a shell of himself physically. It will be interesting to see what comes of all this. But at this point I would be concerned as a Donk fan.

First preseason game is in a week. Have some Kool-aid everyone. I just did. It's good.

The reality is that Peyton's neck and arm strength have still not recovered yet and that's why Peter King believes Garrard is ahead of him at the moment.

During Peyton Mania, I kept trying to say that...the neck thing scared the bajesus out of me. He's still not recovered, he's still not able to rip it. Still not throwing deep.

There was a report, I believe on ESPN; that Manning was still having difficulties throwing the deep pass.
