Jeff Ireland. The GM is the top dog and in charge of football operations etc.. Everything trickles down from there. He acts like a clown, through asking dez about his mom, to telling JM to punch incog in the face, to miss handling pretty much every decision in the last few years. Philbin is Ross's guy, not irelands guy (hence the tension). Ireland is like a Shady car salesman, looking to bury anyone to keep his job making excuse after excuse, and feeding the owner crap. We need an established, classy, focused, person to do this job. Look at the top teams every year, Common tread they all have good leadership put mostly in place by the GM. Flip side Jerry Jones wont get out of his own way, Any cowboys fan will tell you he needs to get a good GM. Al davis same way. We aren't changing the owner anytime soon so we might as well get a new GM. Bottom line it just seems for every 1 thing he does right there are 12 in serious question. Its starting to get dishearted following my beloved Fins........

Honestly I think he put a playoff roster together this year, thats all he can do!!!! I blame coaching more!!!!

He put a playoff roster together with that offensive line and those linebackers? And no proven running back either?

Look around the league...the teams that win late in the season are the ones that can run the football because weather plays a huge factor. With our O-line and RB we couldn't run the ball, we couldn't pass block and defensively we couldn't stop the run thanks to some awful linebacker play.

It starts with Ross in my opinion. Old man has no clue what he is doing. You are an owner of a team. you shouldn't have to ask any committee for advice... You call the shots big guy. The more people involved in decisions the more things become a clusterf***.

Totally agree. At the end of the day this team should have won 10 games!

not replacing Brandon Marshall
not replacing Karlos Dansby
not replacing Reggie Bush
not replacing Jake Long
etc etc etc

he's making us weaker by his decisions.

Hit the nail on the head.

Take a look back through the last 10 or 15 years of football and see if you get a better correlation between winning and the quality of teams' GMs, or between winning and the quality of their quarterbacks.

We have more than one problem.

If im not wrong the Gm picks the coaching staff, scouts, personal, etc.. 95% of the time.. So collectively they have to decide on a quarterback and players. GM is in charge and given credit and now should be taking blame

Precisely. So if the GM has been successful in picking just one player (the most important one -- QB), odds are he's going to look like a good GM, regardless of what he's done elsewhere.

And until he picks that successful QB, regardless of what he's done elsewhere, odds are he's going to look like a bad GM.

We couldn't pick up 1 yard running if our season depended on it (which it did).
