Yes but I believe he was 3/9 for 46 yards in the 4th quarter which is when he normally plays his best. Statistically he had a good game but you know as well as I do he didnt play that well.

I don't think he had a good game but I find it funny that tose criticizing his #s last year are now criticizing him for putting up good #s. I think he was ok last night, on paper it looks much better than he actually played.

my point with sanchez is if he didn't have a top notch running game and elite get off the field defense over the course of the season his lack of accuracy would really show itself...you would think that defense and running game would make things easier for him as far as completing passes but its anything but...he's sporatic (sp???) as hell as a passer...i keep waiting for that part of his game to improve but i've seen the same stuff in that regard for going on 3 years...same ole same ole

He has been a developing QB through his first 2 years, a guy w/ limited college experience and in this offense he takes many shots downfield which aren't good for comp %.

His comp % is up in postseason and it was up now. i'd rather have a lower comp % and have him finish off the game late instead of higher ocmp % and fail to do so like last night.

Ya they did. Sanchez also brought his A game when it counted. Other than the fumble, but he was trying to make a play and it's hard to get too mad about that. I was just pulling my hair out watching the Cowboys let the jets receivers run open for almost the entire 4th quarter. Jets D stepped up big in the 4th as well Romo had no where to go.

The biggest luck thing imo was Witten not getting in on the long pass play. It almost looked like he got tired and gave up. If he would have scored the rest of the game would have been played much differently. Not saying the jets couldn't have still come back, but Romo would not have been pushing so hard and probably would not have turned the ball over twice.

With the Jets down by 7 and less than half a quarter to go in the game, Sanchez finished up 3 of 9 for 47 yards and two sacks taken and had a TO.

To me, he did not play his best at all when the game is on the line.

If Tony H0mo and Jason Garrett try to punch it in on the goal line by running it and even if they just get three instead of the H0mo's lost fumble, the Boys win that game.

U mad? He got abused.

Yeah, ok ... he got abused. Except for when he was covering Bryant like a blanket for 95% of the game, and picking off the game sealing INT. You would trade any 3 guys on your defense for Revis tomorrow. You know it and so do I.

Not true. I would NOT trade Wake.

It's harder to find a pass rusher of that level than it is to find a very good cover corner.

I wouldn't say horrible(see last year vs. NE & Mia for horrible) but we didn't play well but our guys never stop battling and they find ways to win. This is the complete opposite of the old jets I watched growing up. We used to find ways to lose games the way dallas did, now we find ways to win them.

Good point. They were pretty bad at points. Regardless it IS only the first game of the season. Both QB were off at the beginning of the second half IMO.

It doesn't matter what Sanchez's numbers are. The guy wins.

Thats football man..The jets are known for having a good goal line defense like the ravens..Thats why you have to play every down and have hope..Sanchez did not almost lose the game..Our defense was bad,Special teams played great as always and Chez played his a$$ off!

Taking nothing away from Wake who is a good NFL player ... you can't be serious about that statement. We're not talking about Lawrence Taylor here. There are about 20 Cameron Wakes in the NFL right now, and every year there are new pass rushers leading the league. There's only ONE Revis. he's a Top 10 player in the league on everybody's list (including the player's). I would love to pose the trade to every GM in the league, and see how many of them WOULDN'T make the deal straight up for Revis. I'd say close to zero.

That's football man?? Obviously it's football, the point is if Folk misses that kick Sanchez would be criticized for not moving the ball down the field for a more manageable kick. The jets D wasn't "bad" we all know the player Cromartie is, that will happen. Not to mention the fact that Dallas is stacked with skilled players. Sanchez was roasting the D when he was balling against the dudes at the bottom of the depth chart. Bottom line is, Sanchez needs put all of it together. Jets are a good team, he has to elevate them.

20 cam wakes in the NFL? Watch some game tape son, you're embarrassing yourself.

there aren't 20 cam wakes in the nfl right now...and god knows the jets would pay a handsome price to be able to get an edge rusher of his caliber on their defense...its the one thing the jets are still missing a consistent edge rush winning pass rusher...you wouldn't have to blitz so much to get pressure

that being said darrelle revis is a once a decade kind of player at cb...best i've ever seen...

I said "about" 20. The man said it was difficult to find a pass rusher of Wake's level. Pass rushers equal to Wake are everywhere --- Just off the top of my head ...
Jared Allen, Clay matthews, Denarcus ware, Dwight Freeny, Julius Peppers, Osi Yumeniora, Mario Williams, Elvis Dumerville, Robert Mathis, Justin Tuck, james harrison, Lamar Woodley ... I'm sure I can keep going if i really think about it or look it up.

The guy had a good season. ONE (and didn't lead the league btw). He needs to do it year after year before you tell me he's in a class by himself.

Sanchez TO was huge, but the Boys wasted that opportunity.

Sanchez didn't really lose it, but he wasn't the reason they won it late.

The Jest do have a good goal line D, but I still don't understand by not trying to pound it in from three yards out two more times and run about 80 seconds off the clock. I can't blame H0mo for trying to do too much, but that TO was huge. Even 3 points in that situation almost seals the game.

Your defense was not bad, they were not great either. Any time your D forces 3 TOs, they had a solid game.

Revis isn't very good, he's GREAT- HOF great.

He is great, but the drop off from Revis to Vontae Davis is not enough for me to want to give up a pass rusher as great as Wake.

True elite Pass rushers are hard to find. As a Jets fan you should know this because Rex and Tannenbaum have yet to find you guys one.
