Will actually play a good game. First of all, I'm not a Guskateer or any other qb groupie, in fact, I think it's time for a change with Sage. But I'll let Nick make that call. Now, the reason I believe that Gus will play well (by well I don't mean the Broncos game but at least complete more than 50% of his passes). Here's why?

1) This is Nick Saban's most aniticipated game since he accept his job offer. Personally I believe having the opportunity to play Bill Belichick twice a year had something to do with his accepting the Dolphins job. Many teams had been wooing him for years, but he never accepted. Anyway, this game is so huge for Nick that he will definitely put the ball in the hands of his best players R&R. I think this is the game where Nick is going to run, run, run. Saban wants this game very badly, so I don't think Gus will be put in a situation where he could lose this game. This game has to be about keeping our offense on the field, keeping Brady off it, and moving chains. Therefore, with what I believe will be a Steeler-like dedication to the run, I think Gus will be successful because he will only be asked to throw on occasion on short and intermediate routes. Possibly getting McMichael more involved in this game, but I don't expect many deep balls at all.

2) Additionally, I don't expect there will be too many trick plays this game. Linehan has really been under the gun this week for the 3 and 2 call, and I think this will definitely play into his game planning.

I honestly believe that Gus will play a modestly decent game because he won't be asked to do much. This Sunday, Saban will actually ask Gus to "manage the game" by handing it to 23 and 34 and throwing an occasional slant.

I just hope they dont ask him to throw on 3rd and two inside of the five yard line :fire: :yell:

He's due for another Bronco game.

As long as he doesn't need to throw too much, I think he will do okay. I want Ronnie and Ricky to get atleast 15 carries each. I think that the Phins can win with the simple running attack.

Gus is better when we run to set up the pass instead of passing to set up the run. If we come out running and are successful early, Gus will have a good enough game for us to win. If we come out slinging it, it will be a much tougher game.

Hope that we win the coin toss or stop the Pats on their first drive.

Run 40 times and throw 12....you have a chance. If you expect Gus to win against ANY team....you really have to play lotto. Bus Gus...and Rock and Roll.

In order for that to happen, the D can't give up an opening drive score!

Well, I have a theory based on this playcalling in this Atlanta game, and that is we did not go downfield at all in that game and the reverses and end arounds have seemingly set up for this game.

i do think we will go downfield early in this one. Hopefully, we will be handing off to Ronnie Brown in the fourth and sticking it to Teddy bear bruschi.

I think he'll have a good game too, unfortunately. The Patriots secondary is making just about any QB look good. San Diego has the potential to make Gus look pretty good too.

Why do you say unfortunately? I hope he has a good game, highly doubt it'll happen though.

If you run 40 times and throw 12, that probably means that we still are not converting as much as we should. I think Running the ball is certainly our forte, however, we should not dispell throwing the ball. What we should do is get rid of the end arounds and *****footin plays. We need to go downfield! I just do not think we should be passing 60 % to 40%. That is insane. There are only 3 things that happen when you pass and 2 of them aint good.
