"There are some guys that when they leave their previous team they're done. Peyton is not done," Tom Condon told NFL Network about Peyton Manning. "He's enthusiastic. He loves to compete. He loves the game, and wants to play, and he's a great player."

"It's a crucial crossroads. Everyone wants to do what's best both for Peyton [Manning] and the Colts," Tom Condon told the NFL Network. "That's the focus."

"There had been substantial discussion that [Peyton Manning] wasn't going to be able to play, and that it was too dangerous and foolish for him to even think about it, and that's not accurate," Tom Condon told the NFL Networking about his client, Peyton Manning. "He is sound in the structural part of his neck and he can certainly take a hit and play a football game. How effective he would be in the game, probably not as effective today as he would be two months from now."

"He's on a timeline," Tom Condon told the NFL Netowrk about Peyton Manning's recovery. "I don't know how much different this is from an ACL, where a guy comes out of the surgery and isn't able to do very much and then progresses to the time he gets to training camp and we expect him to play."

"from a couple of months to a year from the time he had the surgery....From the time he had the surgery until now there has been substantial improvement."
"Peyton (Manning) certainly expects to return to play. He wants to play. He's enthusiastic about it," said Tom Condon, Manning's agent told the NFL Network. "The rehabilitation is going very well, and he believes that also. He's made a substantial amount of progress and we anticipate him playing football next year."

I don't trust agents. This guy could be right or he could be trying to get one mroe big payday for Manning which in turn he gets one more payday from Manning.

At the very least it would show some stones. Many of us hoped Miami would draft Brady Quinn when we saw he was still on the board back in 07. Even if our eventual pick Ted Ginn had not flamed out down here, I still would rather have picked Brady Quinn, because for once we would have shown we were prepared to bet big in order to try to win big. I cringed when we picked Chad Henne in the 2nd round. Not just because it was Henne, but because we decided to wait till round 2 to try to turn an undervalued player into a primetime player. We've not drafted a QB in the first round in 29 years around here. Peyton Manning is the greatest to ever play his position and if you have a chance to get him, take it. At least nobody could say you were playing it safe while trying to succeed.
