Agent: Yeremiah Bell won’t return to Miami Dolphins

translation, we want a young hungry defense, im all for it. Bell was good for us but every old dog has his day, glad we want to get younger on both sides of the ball.

young and hungry doesnt always equate to good. Looks like we trying to put together a budget conscious set of safeties

Ugh it's a shame we had to end things on bad terms with a lifelong Phin. I have no problem with moving on from Yeremiah, but Ireland could have handled it better.

has this regime handled anything well. Reportedly they said they were not going to cut or ask to restructure then they cut him.

Im not ireland fan but i gotta take his side on this one. This is grown men we are talking about here. This is a business, players know that and knows what comes with the job. Did you want ireland to give him a cookie than cut him? would that have him been better? Its standard in the nfl, u get old, slower, and to expensive so eventually your time comes that you will be cut and replaced with a younger cheaper better faster player. Ireland is going to do whats best for the team and we should support that if we want whats best for the dolphins.

Any safety in the draft at this point is a better option than bell, he was gettin burnt like a drum last season, falling down constantly and lacking balance. Just isnt what he use to be, its hard but dolphins gotta move on and get younger. Not to mention how much money we are saving against our cap.

of course after they cut him they offered a contract but earlier in offseason he was told that he would not be cut and wouldnt be asked to restructure, thats when the offering to restructure came up.
I have no problem cutting Bell I do have a problem spending good money on a player that has underperformed throughout his career (Richard Marshall) instead of a good tackle like Winston.
I have no reason to pass misinformation but of course people will always believe that the dolphins treated all players quite well and its always the bad players

This is a hilarious backtrack. No offense, but stop. Take a look at what you've claimed, and what you've said has happened. You were wrong. Admit it, and start checking your facts. You're consistently posting incorrect things in threads.

What you said EARLIER in the thread was that I had it BACKWARDS, that he wasn't willing to restructure and was then cut, and no contract was offered. Now you're saying YES there was a contract offered (after I submitted EVIDENCE) and you're saying that they told him there would be no restructuring offer to him. What's next?

By the way, Richard Marshall is a great corner, one of the most underrated in the league. PFF has him ranked as a top 4 cornerback in terms of man coverage and contested passes. That's pretty impressive.

I agree with the cap savings but Johnson and Jones are not upgrades to Bell they cant cover well either

Getting old and slowing down doesn't usually equate to good either

Never said it did but the guys we have at safety minus Marshall are not very good unfortunately we seem to want to play Marshall at corner where he is the very definition of toast

theres a thing called the draft, i think teams use it to upgrade certain positions, look into it.

well Im sure we have other needs like qb, wr , te , ol , cb , pass rusher. Im sure we wont fill every need in draft

lmao, your putting cb as a need?? might as well put every damn position on the team if you are going to do that. We are strong at cb with the signing of marshall, sean smith showed great improvement last year and really impressed. Cb should be the last positions of need on this team, we spent too much on this positions a few years ago to still be worrying about this position.

Our 4 main needs are
1.WR
2.QB
2.RT
3.SS

Thats the 4 positions we need to focus on in this draft in that order. Tannehill can be taken with any pick except for our first round. With the 1st rounder we need to go With BPA to improve our team the most, tannehill is just not good enough to pass up on claiborne/richardson/blackmon.

Maybe you have seen something I didn't, but all I saw was Marshall would get a shot at corner. my money is on free safety when it's all said and done, but time will tell

All I have heard is that he is in play at corner which historically he is not good at

I see cb as a need because in the end Marshall is not a good corner historically, he seems a solid safety.
Tannehill will not be there past 1st round we also need more than just a RT our guards are not good either.

You address the positions that you need the post. You cant expect every positions to be addressed, we will have to go with what guards we have. The most important position to address is the the Right tackle position on the o-line.
