Ahmad Brooks?

No way a 4th gets him in the supplemental draft. It would definitely have to be a first day pick. Wouldnt be shocked at all if someone used a first on him.

isnt he eligible next year?
Yes he is. However he has been expelled from the Virgina team for failing a drug test and for problems with head coach al groh. Its almost a certainty that he will enter the supplemental draft. The guy has freakish natural ability so I expect him to go very high. Saban should definitely give him a look.

Manny Wright was considered first round talent as well and we got him in the 5th. There are character issues there and you do not reward them with high draft money. Hes a great talent , but will fall to the 4th in a supplemental draft.

I understand, but anyone who is familiar with Ahmad Brooks knows their is absolutely no comparison between the two. Brooks is one of the top linebackers in terms of talent that college football seen in over the last decade. I see someone using a second rd pick on him in the supplemental draft. Here's some scouting reports on him.

with "character issues" being the 2006 NFL Draft theme...I doubt someone will use a 1st rnd pick in the supp draft on him...but he sure does sound like a steal for a 3rd or 4th.

Lets just say I would faint if we got him with a 3rd or 4th rd pick. I'm all for it.

I'm from VA so I've seen a lot of UVA games, that guy is good, but not first round good.

Before the injury and off the field issues this past season, he was considered to be a top 10 pick.

i would spend a 3rd or 4th round for him, but i don't know if coach saban also thinks so, with all the issues he had... he could be a great player for us... :dolphins:

the team who gives up the most gets the top pick plus you can get more picks right? i think it has a system to it.

Dude what you smoking? no one is giving up a second. let alone a first rounder for this clown. 3rd tops, most likely 4th or higher.
