I am hearing people talk of only coughing up a 5th or 6th for Ahmed Brooks. That even a 4th is too much?! Now I have to be honest I'd willingly give up a 1st for this kid. He is Top 10 talent, and you get him a year early. The only way this doesn't benefit us is if we end up one of the worst three teams in the league. Which seems HIGHLY unlikely right now. Now I am not saying I'd settle for a 4th. But if we have to spend a 1st on him... do it!

his stock seems to be around a 3rd rounder right now...

Indeed. I don't understand what your point is though.

Everyone thought Aaron Rodgers was a Top 3 pick.
Everyone thought Reggie Bush was going #1 overall.

Drafts are crazy like that. I am just saying I'd willingly give a first for him. I don't understand why anyone would think that is too much.

My point about the 5th or 6th was that I see alot of Dolphin fans saying that is all they'd give. That even a 3rd or 4th (which his value seem to be) would be to much. Just to clarify that.

Someone help me out...... I'm not big on college football, but I follow the draft thoroughly. Who is this guy ?????

I agree, or a second but it might be a little bit of a stretch. a first is too much at this point.

We'll know more about Brooks' value after his pro day. Will he be the 260lb guy who ran a 4.5? Or will he be the guy that last month was reportedly
285lb and presumably much slower?

My bad... I thought you were asking what his value seems to be right now...

He is mad talented... but his off-the-field problems are hurting his draft value...

The Boston Herald seems to think he might go in the first round-

"The Patriots will be slotted to pick in the bottom 12 of each round, and if they exercise a first-rounder on Brooks - who may not even be available at that point - they forfeit their first-rounder in next April’s regular draft.

If they have him rated as high as some do, the freakish talent with good size and demeanor may just be worth it. "http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/view.bg?articleid=140160

from what im hearing hes the second comming of ray lewis with a worse attitude and even more intense, he's got talent of a top 5 pick but his attitude brings him to the 3/4 round
