yeah i know what u meen lol..but it is nice to finally be able to get excited since the season started.:D

This is overanalytical nonsense. We are 2-6, aka tied for the second worst record in the league. Unfortunately, that's the only rating that matters.

I wish I shared your optimism my freind

Aikman's ratings are interesting, but I'm not sure how useful they are. But our record can't be explained by most other team stats either. We're one of the top rated defenses, our yardage stats on offense are above average.

I think the key stats that tell the tale are sacks (only 4 teams have allowed more) and interceptions (only 4 teams have allowed more). The former are primarily Daunte numbers, the latter are primarily Joey numbers.

Also noteworthy is that only Green Bay has thrown more pass attempts. Meanwhile only 3 teams have run the ball less than us, even though our 4.1 Yards/carry is just above average. So it seams that our recipe for success would be to run the ball more and pass less. This reduces costly interceptions and places more pressure on our defense to win games, just like we did in Chicago.

So, according to that, Indianapolis is the 9th best team in the league and Dallas is 7th best.....unh-huh

Fine bit of Homerism

Applaud your example of homerism at its finest. I wish I shared your optimism.
