Practice had just ended Wednesday. A line of kids waited patiently for a moment of Ryan Tannehill's time. None went home disappointed.Tannehill posed and smiled and signed for every boy and girl that approached. He made agreeable small talk with their parents. He was the ambassador any team would want from its starting quarterback. Those fans had no idea that Tannehill felt like garbage the entire time.Tannehill had been quietly fighting a nasty bug for more than a week. No matter how much sleep he got, how many fluids he drank, he just couldn't shake it.If it was any other Dolphin, Tannehill might have been home in bed. Coach Adam Gase gives veteran teammates the occasional rest day. Yet Tannehill hasn't missed a snap in practice. He just can't afford to. Gase telegraphed that thinking a few weeks back when he shot down the suggestion that Tannehill might enjoy a veteran's skip day too.
Every year I'm hopelessly optimistic. This year is no different

It is def now or never for TH or else he will find himself in the middle of a QB competition with Doughty next year the way Gase and Christensen talk about Doughty.

Damn I thought he had millionssssss of reasons to come to practice.

Excuses for if tannehill sucks again tomorrow...

So you think the offense is installed, ready and fully grasped by all offensive starters?

And you think there will be no drive-killing mistakes by any offensive player not named Tannehill?

And you think the OL will give a full 3 seconds or more on every pass play?

And the OL will open up running lanes for 3 or more yards on running downs?
'
Go on record. Cause if you don't believe all those things, to preemptively say, "Excuses for Tannehill not getting it done!" is simply self-serving.

You already admit that the offense will break down at 10 other spots, that the offense isn't fully installed -- yet you are willing to blame RT for this, ahead of time.

Gotcha.

He also said Melvin Gordon would be special in the NFL...I honestly wouldn't put much stock into what he says.

Melvin gordon looks like hes dropped weight...dont overlook the difference that could make for him...trying to be a bloated slug to run the ball inside the tackles at the pro level was never his game

Try to be more jamaal charles less jerome bettis

and i say that as someone who didnt think gordon could carry that weight well

I don't want to be a back and forth because there is a chance he could turn into a OK NFL running back, but nothing in his game besides his stats suggest his draft position. Nothing on film shows he was able to do anything then outrun players through giant gaping holes.

Yep now or never in week 2 of preseason... Feels.a lot.like.DTs victory against the Panthers in PRACTICE.

I wasnt a gordon guy...i was all in on todd gurley...but i think he will be a better player in san diego if hes leaned up

the college sophomore version of gordon was what i would want in the pros

Lots of people thought that. He's only entering his second year anyways. "You got one player wrong, you know NOTHING about football AT ALL!" . seems kinda ridiculous.

Lots of people don't pay attention to whats on film and only looked at gaudy stats....

Part of it was because he try to call me out about it during that draft...

and part of it is because of a majority of his posts in this forum, like the one in this thread, is bull**** at best.
