Steve McNair might not be retained by the Titans after this season -- a scenario that could lead the 32-year-old to play for the Dolphins. If McNair is still on that roster March 2, he can enjoy a $50 million bonus from the Titans
.

Hes old but hes great when healthy, I think his health will be an issue just like the money he may demand, and he'll be a great mentor to a rookie.
Alos if the Titans draft Matt Lienart he could stay to groom him, I say taht he might go to Tennesse because Norm Chow is the OC, so that would be a perfect fit for him.

My God...do we need another Steve McNair thread??? The season isn't even over yet folks...in fact, it isn't even the playoffs yet!

just say no to mcnair, to old and isnt as mobile as he once was. his arm is also looking more dead every year. he sure cant throw any deep balls anymore. so pass on him and hang onto ferotte to groom a rookie.

Damn, I hope Mcnair does not come to the Dolphins....that would be a huge mistake...the guy is old and fragile...he's one injury away from being out for the season...

c'mon SABAN, don't sign MCNAIR!!!!!!!

McNair has only had one season-ending injury his whole career. He plays through pain and would have last year if the Titans had even had a shot at the playoffs.

If they're going to go with a verteran QB next year, why not just stick with Gus? He knows the system and has started to perform well now that the other players seem to be in sync with him. At this point in his career I really don't see McNair as a significant upgrade over Gus.

He cant throw deep balls  :sidelol:

This is the funniest post of the day thanks for the laugh

More like his recievers cant catch the deep balls, Tyrone Calico drops balls thrown right over his shoulder

Mcnair can still throw it 50 yards down the field and hit the WR perfect, ive seen it all year its just to bad calico drops the deep ones and they dont have another speed threat

You guys dissing McNair are only saying thay because you think we should draft a young QB...

But..check this..we can sign McNair AND draft a young QB!!!!

McNair is probably going to get relseased. Hes beyond being a better QB than Gus. Are you guys for real? Look at his stats....

McNair for me....the Air Force returns to Miami in 2006....

Please..no offense...but if your gonna make a statement like this...please..show us some proof to back it up. Asides from his sternum issue of last year....Im at a loss to figure out the "fragile as fine china: comment.

Whats the big deal about "knowing the system"? If the guy is a QB in the NFL, there is no way he shouldnt be able to learn a new system given a few months. Im tired of Frerotte getting the "system" excuse. I dont care for McNair (what a poet I am...), but anything is an upgrade over Gus. Are we really happy with a 70.3 QB rating?
