Aj Feeley Bandwagon Alllll Abbboard!!!

By your own admission, you're pretty biased.

Frerotte threw a ton of balls at receivers' feet, including the challenged pass. The pass Feeley threw to Mann wasn't all that different from the pass from Frerotte to Chambers. Chambers laid out for his, and Mann didn't. Mann caught it out-of-bounds, and Chambers dropped it, with his feet in-bounds.

I don't think I can honestly say I have no bias, however I don't dislike either player. I just think Frerotte has plateaued. He's not getting any better.

Feeley, however, has shown improvement every game since about week ten, last season. We have no reason to believe he won't get better as the season progresses, as long as he's giving first team practice and play time.

Everyone is high on getting a quarterback in the draft next year and grooming him into a super bowl caliber signal caller. This makes me sad, because that means by the time we're ready to seriously challenge, offensively, for a title, many of our top defensive players will be gone/retired.

With Feeley at quarterback, as long as he can pick up the system fairly quickly, we'll be able to compete next year, easily.

You should listen to yourself Joe, You say Gus has "platued" but yet he led our gameplanned material right down the field! So couldnt you conclude that Gus did as he was supposed to when it was planned? Other games were not planned so I dont think its appropriate to say who did what when when it dont mean jack! I saw AJ throw one right at Bookers feet and I believe also Heath Evans. I know i saw a few of them at their feet. Ever think that is what the coaches are telling them to do when they see tight coverage? Fact is we dont know diddly squat. But I do know this, Gus has in no way shape or form "platuead" and neither has AJ.

Here's an idea, how about the receivers catch some of Gus's balls like they should, then he wouldn't look so bad.

Works both ways. So yes Gus does look bad. Gus had some drops against Pitt yes, a couple yesterday. AJ had drops as well but the Gusketeers forget about those. When Gus throws behind a receiver or under or over throws a receiver, teh Gusketeers say it was someone else fault, yet if teh same exact thing happens to AJ then it is AJs fault. It is called subjective reasoning and Gusketeers are full of it.

Played well against Pitt? Ooookkkk only cause he is your guy, had that been AJ, you would have pointed out the obvious points that while many could have been caught, they were very difficult catches and nowhere near all teh receivers fault. Yes there were clear drops and yes those were bad and should have been caught but it is funny how those went from 2 to 3 to all 14 of teh incompletes against Pitt. Taking teh 3 games he played as a starter, he has pizz poor completion %. That is cause he is an inaccurate qb and has been for 12 years. Yet some champion him teh second coming. Laughable and no objectivity at all, not even an attempt.

If Gus starts next week, then he has to start week 1. Youd dont switch at that point, AJ would have very limited reps with teh 1st team and teh rest of teh offense would have to adjust to a new qb again. If he proves after that that he cannot get it done then you make the switch because then it doesnt matter that you will have those issues cause you werent going to do better anyway. But if you dont give AJ a start before Denver, he wont be ready. ANd as bad as Gus has been, and he has been, he hasnt turned teh ball over repetitively to say he cannot play at all. I think AJ has played better, but it was against 2nd team, so we dont know what he would do against teh 1st team. So start him against Atl.

Well AJ seems to be a moot point at this point..Man I hate he didn't pan out, I really love that arm, but if it can't get us pointed toward points, then it's a waste..Oh well life goes on...

Edit: I've got to change my sig..unfortunately I can't put Gus there, he's not the future either..back to the drawing board. :D

put Sage there then.....hes got the arm AND mobility

no thanks....thats one band wagon that im not boarding....im all in favor in cutting Feeley....next two years get rid of that Wanny fat....the "talent" he thought could help our team. What took Wannstedt and Spielman a second round pick and too much money and time, took Saban 5 preseason games.....to realize this...FEELEY IS A WASTE OF OUR TIME. Not saying that Ferrotte is much better...but Ferrotte will be a better caretaker...a veteran with plenty of expirence to lead us to a 6-10 season. Sorry...it will take 3 years for us to be proud again....thanks to Wannstedt.

They are both inconsistant, thats why they both have good games and bad. Hopefully one will get consistency and be good in most games. No need to get on any bandwagons, because who knows what the next game will bring.
This guy is right on! I couldn't agree more...oh...wait, that's me. Stop the madness people. Gus and AJ and Sage are not starters. Quit with the bandwagon nonesense and just root for you team.

Get off The Feeley wagon and get into the Sage Wagon

I'm officially on the "QB that we draft or acquire next year" bandwagon. Alllll Aboooooaaaaarrrrd!!!!

Go "QB that we draft or acquire next year"!!! You're the best!

It really doesn't matter who starts this year. Neither are future fixtures, just stop gaps until the 3-5 year plan is implemented entirely. Build for the future means it ain't happening overnight.

It is just really hard to get excited when you realize your starting qb is a career backup who hasn't consistently started in almost a decade.
