AJ Feeley, The Next Marino

ok saying Feely can be the answer alright its hopeful but like when you say the next Marino thats just a disgrace really wow your comparing 1 of the best to Feely dont embarass yourself and leave the site and never post again.

Sure have alot of people replying to this thread...maybe that`s what the guy wanted in the first place. That being said, this is the most ridiculous thread I`ve ever seen started on here, WTF goes thru a persons thought process to even think of starting something like this? AJ Feeley couldn`t make a pimple on Dan Marinos a**! There is absolutely no comparing the two, I realize AJ could wind up as our starter this year, and that would be the only similarity between him and Dan...that they both have started at QB for the Miami Dolphins.

FinFans, hope this one gets caught in a tuna net.

Many of you believe that Marino is the best QB ever, at least top 3 IMO.

There is no way that AJ Feeley will ever be considered a top 3 QB all time. he'll be lucky to even win the starting job, IMO.

I agree with you whole heartily. This is one of the worst threads ever. IF AJ wins the starting job ill be surprised, i wont even go on and say what an absurd comparison this is ill just leave it with what the Bills fan said. :shakeno:

Aj really played brilliantly last season with what he had to work with...One of the worst o-lines in history, a terrible running game, defenses that could easily game plan against the pass because opposing defenses knew that was the only chance to win, we had a horrible offensive game plan (an offense that was based on the power running game with a 120 pound backup to Ricky, Stupid Wanny) He will be so much more comfortable with our new offense...especially one that has the added demension called A RUNNING GAME. Players desperate to prove themseves to be great again after there image has been tarnished (Williams & Boston) he will also be helped by what coach Saban has to work with on the defensive line...Kevin Carter, Jason Taylor, Keith Traylor, David Bowens......Believe me those guys are gonna make our secondary look a lot better than it is. I can invision our offense when they line up, Ronnie at fullback, Ricky at RB, (yes Ronnie has experience at Fullback) We could run, pass....whatever. Anyway I think you are going to see a different AJ Feely, He already has the brash style ad ****iness Marino had, lets see what he does with tons more talent on offense. Just my opinion

Yes, those 11 TDs 15 interceptions and 10 fumbles really had me on the edge of my seat. Also the fact that he's not been able to hit recievers he's played with for a year, without pads and no defenders rushing him in 7 on 7 drills has made great impression on me. And Fiedler, one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL beating him out? Wow that was just amazing work.

Actually, he may be BETTER than Marino. He will make Marino look like a 2nd stringer. AJ Feeley will without a doubt make the HOF.

I think Feeley could be good also. But the Marino comparisons are going a little 2 far. He has the skills and I think he has the balls to be a starter, but your right in the fact that the talent around him will make him or break him. If he can beat out Ferrotte (hopefully he will) he'll have some great weapons which will allow him to elevate his game and become a good QB for us for years to come.

A thread like this is why we have so many Bills and Jets fans here.

GREAT POST !!! ... And for those of you that KNOW it cant happen .. prove it NOW ... cause hell ... anything is possible, I mean hell the Bills made it to the Superbowl 4 times in a row.

OMG I can't believe what I am reading......sorry are there fans of other teams that have nieve opinions like this one?? I can't believe the thinking of some people!?!?!?

Think Positive !

Too many of youse guys are rooting for failure and you are fans? Let me tell you something, I only read sportswriters because they report on my team, other than that, they are so eager to be the one that predicts disaster that I can't stand a lot of what they write. No, Feeley won't be the next Marino, but with some good play action, two stellar backs and an offensive line that can push people, he could LOOK like him a lot of the time. He's more likely to be a refined version of Daryle Lamonica. He can really wing it downfield and we've got some guys that if they stay healthy, can run under it. If everything comes together the team may carry Feeley to some stats that make him resemble Marino, I for one am really hoping that the team can do that for him.

Oh well, I knew I'd ruffle some feathers on this one. Do I think AJ will be the second coming of Marino? Heck no. Just getting bored with the same posts over and over again. In reality, I really think we will see a much improved AJ Feeley though. He has some charictaristics, confidence and the want to QB's have to have to win in the NFL. I've seen a lot of QB's fold when they faced adversity' but I never saw that in AJ. The kid wants to win in the worst way. All the coaches have to teach him is not to be wreckless, he can be his own worst enemy. That said, with some real competition and an offense designed to keep defenses off balance, this kid could have a heck of a year. Marino was the only QB that could move an offense by himself with sheer will. AJ showed some signs at the end of last season, 3tds vs the Bills in the 1st qtr, the winning TD pass against the Pats with a ton of pressure on in what was really his rookie season in which he had to split snaps with Fiedler. Our new coaches like him, why shouldn't we?

I NOW YOU DONT NEED A MANNING , MARINO OR AIKMAN TO WIN A SB IN THIS LEAGUE ANY MORE.
BUT A.J. HAS ALOT OF WORK TO DO TO GET IN THE SAME ZIP-CODE AS DILFER, GANNON OR PENNINGTON
I AM NOT SAYING THOSE GUYS ARE BETTER THAN A.J. BUT 2 OF THEM HAVE BEEN TO THE SB
I THINK A.J. WILL HAVE A SOLID YEAR , IF THE RUNNING GAME COULD TAKE SOME PRESSURE OF HIM AND THE WR & TEs CATCH THE DAM BALL WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN!!!

GO PHISH!!!!!!!!
