"... Although Francis never played for the Patriots, he said New England coach Bill Belichick helped him see more than just the man in front of him, but also formations, alignment and personnel.“I feel like I came back a better player than when I left,” he said."

Hmmmm....So, the Patriots take Dolphins talent & then "Coach them up" & teach them how to play at the NFL level. :err: This isn't anything new how the Patriots poach Dolphins players and they take to the next level. (e.g. Wes Welker, Larry Izzo, Rob Ninkovich, etc.). At least we got one back in Francis (and Irving Fryar).

Maybe we should poach more Patriots players? Probably not, since when Belechick let's them go they are probably done or close to it.

Too bad Dolphins coaches aren't as good...Being a Dolphins fan its sometimes hard to hear players gush about one of our biggest rivals and/or bad mouth the Dolphins when they leave. When will this change?

He was with the Cheatriots for what.... 5 days....?

We should definitely poach more Patriots players, as they are our main obstacle in the division. They are not always done - see Wes Welker and Danny Woodhead this year. I addition, we can try to pry away their free agents that they want back, a couple of which from last year have been critical to their success this year (Edelman, Talib).

****ing Belicheck man. Hands down is the best coach in the NFL and in the conversation for all time.

If Belicheck didn't have Brady, would you still say that??? I remember the Pats not making the playoffs when Brady got injured.

Comon call a spade a spade
Belicheck for his personal idiosynchrasies is still one of the all time greats.

Of course Brady made him better, but he made Brady better too.
There is a laundry list of guys that either came to the Patriots and soon raised their level of play to new heights or left the Patriots and never were the same.

Thats coaching guys.

Would Bill Walsh be called a great coach without Joe Montanna, Lombardi without Bart Starr, Laundry without Staubach, Noll without Bradshaw
Pure silliness to try to downgrade Belicheck as a coach because he has a great qb.
For as good as Peyton Manning is he hasnt brought a ton of championships to his coaches.
