AJ Hawk was available?

Just saw that the Falcons signed AJ Hawk given the fact they have 4 LBers who are currently injured. So how is it with all our injuries at LB, our lack of depth, and our lack of talent, that we didn't at least kick the tires on Hawk? I know....Tannenbaum.
