Do you think this pick was in fault of inexperince of feeley or Lamar ran the route incorrectly? Some say it was designed for lamar to have stopped where feeley threw the ball at? Has any one heard this? And to the one's that said AJ looked scared in preseason, he sure looked confident in the no huddle series that let to that TD.:cooldude:

AJ was the one who threw the ball over the middle while under pressure. Maybe Gordon ran the wrong route, but sometimes you just have to take the sack. If AJ is our starter, these are the things we'll have to live with. Hopefully as he plays more the mistakes will be less frequent.

Posted this on a different thread, but:

The INT returned for a TD did kill us, but get used to that stuff guys. He is young and inexperienced and our WR are new to the Dolphins and to Feeley....it will take some time. Gordan didn't do what Feeley thought he would/should. Whether Gordan was suppose to pick up to blitzer, or just stop and sit in his route (he ran an out to the left, and the ball went to his exact position if he were to sit on it), doesn't matter. That stuff will happen early this season, but I am OK with that, as long a Feeley makes some better plays down field, which I am sure will come.

Growing pains...growing pains....1 int and 1 td is better than 2 int's and 0td's...THis lady at the game sitting behind me was tapping my shoulder going, "You wanted him, you got him!" I was like, c'mon lady...give the guy a chance first? eh? Jay did throw 2 int's and couldn't score!! IT's the guys' 1st game!!! AND it's not like he started it, either!! He came in on a desperate situation down 10-0! Trying to rally us back from behind in his first try. and what did he have? Like 2 something yards? Jay's lucky if he gets that in 4 quarters of action.

It's even in the paper today, Gordon ran the wrong route. But who cares, just about QB threw at least 1 INT this past weekend.

He shouldn't have thrown the ball, period. He was off his back foot, scrambling and through it into the middle of the field. It was a recipe for disaster. As it goes though, I am willing to put up with it as long as he moves the team as well. He seemed to do that pretty effectively against Tennesee, unfortunately he had some things go against him (McMichael's non fumble, INT, missed field goal). I think in the long run, we will be much better for having made this switch early.

I think it was the fault of the LB that was in his face.

Hmm, by that logic, McNabb, Farve, Elway, Marino, McNair, and many other QBs would have far less TDs to their names.

So by the same logic, RBs shouldn't run up the middle because their are linemen there?

I don't care to put blame on either of them because it ultimately falls on Wanny. I don't want to start another Wanny bash but had he just named Feely the starter about...3 weeks ago:shakeno: Feely would have better timing with the offense having taken more snaps with the first team. Could have possibly made a difference on that play. What kills me is that Wanny thinks JF is a good caretaker of this offense. On saturday he threw a pic in the endzone, on the following play he fumbled, and then he throws another pic on the following pass.... . Pathetic. I'll take my Feely INTs all year at least he gives us a chance to make a play down field. Did anyone notice how he took advantage of the McMichael match up? I can't wait to see him sniff out a coverage mismatch on Chambers....

I find it to be quite possible that both of them screwed up. It happens.

I agree. Either the wrong route was run or he was supposed to stay in and block. NO matter what AJ cant throw that ball the way he did. Both qbs were gripping a bit and both are better than they showed. Jay is still just a backup and AJ will get to starting form eventually. Its about time the 'stachenamed a starter for good. When there is competition durring the seaon everyone is trying too hard to make the spectacular play.
Although I gotta say Jay made a great fade pass in the endzone...right in stride will booker draped all over his receiver :roflmao: .

this actually sums it up that it was AJ's fault since he is the QB, but he was not 100% to blame

(On what happened on the interception return for a touchdown by the Titans) - “Anytime you have new players on the field you’re going to have some bad things happen like that. We have to minimize them as much as we can. It wasn’t just the throw, it wasn’t just we got pressure. It was a combination of the throw, the route by the back and the pressure in his face from the offensive linemen collectively. The real pressure came from the inside. (Keith) Bulluck could have come up and A.J. (Feeley) could have stepped up. There was pressure from the inside and no place for A.J. to step up. I talked to A.J. about that this morning. When he has had problems, he’s got to understand he doesn’t need to make a play. If something bad happens blocking wise, route wise, coverage wise that he doesn’t have control over, hey, let’s move on to the next play. Let’s get out of it and move on. We had a very good conversation this morning and I think he understands the big picture. And that’s the key to the quarterback. He’s young and I think we just need to keep talking about it and I think the more he understands the more he will improve, and because the quarterback has so much influence on how the team does, he’ll be fine. We can structure some things this week that give him a chance to make enough plays to win and that’s what we’ll do.ââ¬Â

Give a AJ 4 years to make it equal.

What does this even pertain to? I see nobody here suggesting that we use this as evidence against AJ or anything of that nature.

At least he didn't try to throw it left handed!!! Did you see Plummer last night....OUT OF HIS OWN ENDZONE!!! Holy Crap!!!
