Barry Jackson

Meanwhile, Ajayi has said he probably would have been ready to play in the third game if the Dolphins hadn’t placed him on short-term injured reserve. Ajayi was permitted to begin practicing this week and is eligible to play in Miami’s eighth game, Nov. 10 at Buffalo. Campbell said he looks good. “I’m a back that prides himself on not being brought down by one guy,” Ajayi said.

Not shocking but I couldn't help but laugh...we NEED him and his physicality on this team...if you heard Campbell's first presser, he mentioned the physicality and toughness that Knowshon Moreno brought on O and spread to the rest of the team last season...I think Ajayi will bring that to some level and feed into this team that was starved the first 4 games of playing with a purpose...I like Lamar Miller but he is just not a tough grinder like Ajayi is/Moreno was...right now Juice Landry is the one that gives our team that attitude and toughness that spreads, and while that is great I think we need it to come from a big RB-Ajayi and a big thumping LB-no one on this team now

There were several of us who questioned the move at the time, but what's done is done. Miller and Gray should be able to do ok till he is active.

Was he really needed?

It was speculated at the time that he would only miss a game or 2

Not convinced that atm he will be above Gray

He would not changed the outcome of the games anyway. No worries.

Pro Tip: pick him up in your fantasy leagues. His own % is down and RB depth is valuable. No one is talking about his return yet and it's a good time if you have a spot on your bench.

If there was some magic potion to make the correct personnel decisions they would have used it.

It was a very questionable move. Not only could he be of actual value to the team, but taking away all that practice time from a rookie seems really damaging to his development. Classic Philbin blunder.

He says PROBABLY ready, so what he comes back two weeks later when we know he is FOR SURE okay - no big deal.

Big rush for our 3rd, possibly 4th rb

Missing 5 games for no reason is a pretty big deal. Misses 1/3 of his rookie season to keep the 53rd player on this roster who we've already cut. Not a great move.

I'm with you on the skepticism about him. he is a fumbler and looked like he danced too much for my liking. I will hope for the best, he is very talented

Were it not for the questionable issues with his knee, he would have been a 1st rd pick. He was one of the top RBs in college. Doesnt really matter what you think, his college resume suggests otherwise. He's much better prospect than Gray ever was. I want to see more of him.

I want Fournette if he is somehow able to go NFL next year. this kid is special
