One of the TRUE pioneers of the NFL. I've always remembered Al more for his Raider teams of the 70's-80's than any of the debacles over the last decade or so. Even during that debacle of a decade, he still managed to get his team to a superbowl.
He did everything HIS way. I've always admired that about him. He doesn't care what anyone else thinks, because when you get right down to it, he's forgotten more about the philosophies of coaching and acquiring talent than just about anyone else will ever know.
