Dolphins are shuffling staff on offense today, with veteran assistant Al Saunders coming in as a consultant. He's close with OC Bill Lazor.

In addition to Saunders' hire, Miami moving ass't QBs coach Ben Johnson to TEs, re-assigning WRs coach Ken O'Keefe. So changes on O, not D.

That would make some sense with Campbell having more intimate knowledge of what the Offense has been doing this season.

I like the move especially that it seems Lazor wanted the move. Saunders is a sound offensive mind.

Plus, I LOVE the fact that there is a "grey beard" in house to help Campbell with clock management and time and score situations.

More changes possible in Miami, of course. But first ones come on offense.

What's the deal with Al Saunders? I'm not familiar with him.

Man, Lazor sounds just like him. It's freaky!

With the KC Vermeil connection, sounds like a Carl Peterson-arranged hookup.

This is a good thing IMO. Saunders is a badass, tough as nails, old school guy and excellent teacher... but this also tells me that they're putting something together on defense as well. No way they make moves on O and neglect the D.

for some reason i think he was oc in kc years ago...i dont have much to say on this but hopefully he knows personnel well enough to say that status quo at guard means no matter what we run we screwed

my guess is that's probably not his field of expertise though

Living in D.C i remember when Saunders was here in Washington with Gibbs....wasnt good, tons of screens behind the line of scrimmage to Santana Moss

Love how he used to work with Lazor, this is a really awesome hiring. Dunno if it was Campbell or not but this franchise is already turning for the better.

It doesn't matter how many points your offense scores if your defense can't stop the run or rush the passer, you will lose.

One thing at a time there...

Yep, this is my memory as well. Skins fans were stoked when Saunders was first hired b/c of his resume, but the Skins O was a mess when he was here and Saunders received a lot of the blame.
