Yes.
You know, some valid criticisms have been made that Hickey could have gone younger and healthier at a lot less the price. However, the more I see the fruits of his labor, the more convinced I am that Hickey has a focused plan and part of it was honing right in on Albert both for inspirational and leadership reasons even above and beyond functionality. This guy seems to know what he's doing and it sure must have been frustrating sitting their in Tampa Bay landlocked watching others make decisions he of course inputted but might not have signed off on himself.
No kidding, did any coach wear his players out on him faster than Schiano? Mike Singletary maybe? For the record the Bucs have pretty good talent on that team, IMO. Their biggest problems were QB play and the fact that Greg Schiano was an insane fruitcake.
Not long after the 2013 season ended, Branden Albert strolled into Matt Baiamonte’s boxing club in Miami. The star lineman wanted quicker hands, improved footwork and stronger conditioning, and decided to spend his offseason in the gym working the bags and jumping rope.
Looking for an edge, he turned to boxing. Albert and a few teammates decided to train with with Baiamonte, who apprenticed under the legendary Angelo Dundee. Within a month of work, he was doing “double unders” on the jump rope.
“For a guy that size, that’s amazing,” Baiamonte said. “He’s a tremendous puncher. He really hits like a heavyweight now.”

Actually, we added 4 veterans - Albert, Moreno, Finnegan and Delmas (don't forget about the DBs). Early days, but all are looking like good acquisitions who will contribute. We added two veterans with very high expectations for themselves and their team.
It's hard to give 110% if you don't believe and these veterans believe they should succeed and excel.
Confidence can be contagious. Even Miller was running with passion and power during that 2nd half.
When guys are kicking butt out there, no one wants to look like a biatch.
