Albert Wilson Expected To Go On Ir

Albert Wilson - WR - Dolphins
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins will "most likely" place Albert Wilson (hip) on injured reserve.

Wilson doesn't need hip surgery, but the Dolphins want to give him time to recover correctly, so he will hit the injured reserve. Wilson, who in theory could return very late this season, is still only 26 years old and will be back with the Dolphins next season. With Kenny Stills ruled out for Week 8, the Dolphins will trot out Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant, and DeVante Parker.

We already designated Hull and Brendel as our 2 IR guys that will return. With have started practicing. I assume we can rescind 1 of those?

Is no surgery good news here? These can be career threatening right? If he will make a full recovery I’m OK with out for 18. Nobody is beating NE or KC when the chips are down anyway. We can cry all we want about the team even at their best this is not the year guys.

We aren't even at the halfway point, I wonder what our roster will look like the final week of the season?

I'm curious on that too

Thank god he didn't need surgery and could have come back late in the season. Miami and Wilson dodged a bullet. They're doing the right thing by getting him completely healthy for his return in 2019. Wilson IMHO is Miami's best F/A signing in a long time.

Come down to Miami and sign as a FA. We'll eventually need to put you on IR. Especially if you turn out to be a crucial player on our team.

I'm thrilled to hear some good news about Wilson. It was grim right away. He's out but thank God no surgery and he'll return when able. I'm suddenly in a much better mood!

Ugh. But we always knew we would lose at least 2 WR's this year … we stocked up on small and injury-prone WR's. The good news is that we have high quality players to fill the void. More Amendola, Grant and Parker … and probably more gadget plays for Grant.
