ALERT: Miami's Got To Deal With 95-L

Geez maneez!

If this thing spins up into a tropical storm, the odds are 50-50 that the game will even be played on Sunday PM.

Yeah...I'd like to see a deluge hit Landshark at 4:15 PM Eastern on Sunday...but if the game is delayed (until Monday?...) that would surely suck!

Plz Mr. Storm...if you spin up...please just be a bucket of rain and nothing more!

So there is a chance that high winds and rain might be in the forecast for Sunday. That would benefit us. It would force teams to run the ball more which would not be good news for the Saints.

If that's the case, they might move the game up to 1:00 instead.

Hopefully it waits until Monday.....no school. Would hate to miss Dolphins game as I am going and cant go at any other day or time.

Never. Ever. Ever. Ever doubt Bill Parcells.

1. Bill Parcells didn't like Dolphins players making liberal use of Twitter. So, he broke Twitter for a few days to send a message.

2. Bill Parcells didn't like how the Dolphins were starting their preseason game against the Buccaneers in Tampa. Just a preseason game? He doesn't give a sh-t. He called lightning down from the sky, delaying the game so that Sparano could rip into his team properly for the poor start. They went back out there and did better.

3. Facing a 5-0 team with a fast break passing offense? Fine. Bill Parcells will call up an impossible storm that the weather geniuses know simply should not exist...all so he can properly muddy the field and get Ronnie "Phallis Colossus Noctem" Brown and Ricky "Mudraker" Williams to go off-roading through the Saints' defense to win the game.

The 2PM out of the NHC is expected to go "orange" in this area of interest.

Hmmmm...orange....

Well i am with you...i hope if anything its just rain and wind (CROSS WIND HOPEFULLY)...i think Henne being smart and having such a strong arm will allow him to make some good mid range throws....but with our run game and the slick conditions the advantage comes to us.

i wonder if it rains and we stomp on them with our run game how many saints fans will come here and go "if it wasnt for the rain we would have won"...natural elements are part of the game folks they play in cold and snow they play in the wind and rain (just ask jests fans about wind) its part of football if your team isnt prepared to play and have a gamplan for any condition possible thats your fault...if you were only planning on coming and winging it 50 times and have no back up or prep otherwise its your CS fault you lose not mother nature who we all know is controlled by Bill Parcells

He just borrowed George Bush's Hurricane machine...it will be the second time it's been used to **** up new orleans...

What are the weather limits. I mean, if it's a full fledged tropical storm, and is headed to, or already over Miami, would they still play? I always love the foul weather games. I do think it could seriously hurt the Saints passing attack, but it's fun to watch.

All of them of course, and the ones who won't come out and say it, will be thinking it. The weather is always a big problem for dome teams, they don't build their team based on weather, and that's why they struggle in the playoffs. If they don't get home field advantage throughout, they will lose in bad weather conditions.

The limits will be applied to "safety concerns" for the fans traveling to the game.

If it is too rough, or there is a danger that the storm will be too powerful and could cause damage, then the game will be delayed...period.

This particular system will be more difficult to make predictions about, however. It is now experiencing a shockingly reduced wind shear...and anything can happen and at any time.

I posted a link to Doc Master's Wunderground Blog up top. For those of you in the Miami area, that's a good place to stay informed.

As a side, this hurricane season has been slow...and I wrote some lyrics to describe the season to date for the bloggers at wunderground.com:

The Year of the Shear
sung to the tune of "The Year of the Cat"

On the morning of six one oh nine
In a country where the mets are fine
They saw El Nino freakin' like Peter Lore
Contemplating a crime

Storms came out of the sun from off Africa running
Generating a lot of rain
Bloggers asking for explanations
Why the canes never came
In the year of the shear.

Doc Masters answered all the questions
As storm after storm appeared
And we followed each one closely...would they get through this time?
But each completely disappeared

By the blue tiled walls of the NHC stalls
There's a hidden door they'll show you to
These days, they're lounging and eating donuts
Like a cop in Timbucktoo...
The year of the shear

Well, the shear it does its work so cooly
Doesn't matter that the sun's on the sea
The sheer's relentless like a spring bee
MJO? What the heck does it mean?
The year of the shear

Mornings pass and shear's still out there
And most of the bloggers are gone
And you've thrown away your life and lost your marriage
So you have to stay on

But the drum-beat strains of El Nino remains
In the rhythm of the new-born day
You know sometime there's bound to be one
But for now they stay away
In the year of the shear
