Not really surprising. A lot of times guys who are at the top of their positions won't workout at the Combine.

Well, if that's the case, I can understand that too. Why would want to workout in front of coaches and GM's with a sprained ankle? The next few months are big for Alex Mack, if I was him I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize my draft status. That would be the equivalent of you or I walking into a job interview with an open can of beer.

Actually, it says he won't do the drills at the combine. Not completely skip the combine.

He will still workout at Cal's Pro-Day. I doubt this will affect his draft status in the slightest.

He'll probably just work out at the Cal Pro-Day..I'm sure there are a few others that will too like Follett and Worrell Williams.
