According to multiple reports, the Miami Dolphins' general manager convinced clueless team owner Stephen Ross he should retain control of roster decisions that Fisher was seeking a bigger say in. Ross told Dolphins media on Friday afternoon he didn’t believe Fisher had a problem with Miami’s organizational structure.

Whatever.

The main point: Ross is standing by his general manager despite Ireland’s role in what has become one of the league’s most dysfunctional franchises (that’s what the ‘D’ in Dolphins now stands for).

Despite the fact Ireland has repeatedly botched the handling of the quarterback position in his annual talent assessments.

Despite the fact Fisher would have reinvigorated a community that has become apathetic to what was once its top pro sports team.

In doing so, Ross showed the kind of loyalty that Ireland never did when accompanying him to San Francisco last January to court Jim Harbaugh without informing current head coach and “friend” Tony Sparano he was doing so.

whether you like Ross or not, Alex Marvez is one of the worst writers there is. In all the years I've read his stuff, he's never said ONE positive thing about the FIns
 
Not a shocker. Right or wrong, Marvez looks to take pot shots at the dolphins whenever he can. He will rip on them whenever he has the chance, whether its deserved or not
 
Marvez bashed Ross just earlier this week for even looking at Fisher and called Fisher "Sparano with a mustache". Which in itself is a ridiculous statement since Sparnao has a mustache. Anyways, now he bashes Ross for not hiring Fisher? Come on now, the one that is clueless here is Marvez. My bet is he had two Ross bashing articles already written. One for if the Dolphins hired Fisher and one if they didn't.

Marvez is a clown. Pick one side; you can't blast Miami for wanting Fisher and then act like they made some huge mistake for not bending over for him

Why do so many people dislike clowns? They make funny balloon animals and wear big red shoes. I could never see an *** or a **** doing that.
 
I thought in his opinion Fisher was just Sparano with a mustache... Marvez is a small, bitter joke. That he's right in this case, doesn't diminish that.
