Alex Smith is innacurate garbage

At the rate we are losing players in this FA, we need to do something, and something fast.

I don't know one coach who will look at a players completion percentage and use that as the threshold of determining whether they are accurate or not. All I'm saying is I have seen Alex Smith play many times. He isn't accurate regardless of percentages. He wasn't pushing the ball down field and he wasn't winning games with his arm. People can look at numbers all day and not have to even watch film anymore to determine a players strengths and weaknesses I guess.

Well I agree with you that Alex Smith is not the answer. My only argument is that accuracy and completion % are definitely related. But yes, I pray the Fins don't sign Smith....which of course means that is exactly what they are gonna do.lol

Well i guess my argument was skewed as well, it's not that they aren't related they just aren't mirror images of another. To say Alex Smith is accurate because of some number is silly. If that was the case why even have scouts? Just look at the numbers right?
All I can say is we must be banking on Barkley next year, it's getting sticky quick.
 
Henne & Smith are about the same ... can play a little, but mess up & can't depend on the QB to win the game ... they rely on the team to win the game.

Lol if we have a shot at Barkley, he will probably go to play in the CFL instead of play for the fins. Unfortunately, until Ireland goes the Fins will keep losing out on players because he is an idiot. I am still shocked that even after all the bad publicity, low season ticket sales, obvious dislike from FA players that Ross still stands by this guy. Can someone explain that to me?

This is what is so frightening, I thought Tony and Jeff were a package deal. Not Ross and Jeff.
 
He looked pretty accurate when throwing agains the Saints. Did you watch the game? Did you see that last throw he made? Did you see his bootleg for a TD? looks like a good WCO QB in the making.

It's hard to believe Philbin studied Smith's tape and said oh yeah, this is my guy.

Either he is an idiot, or Ireland is reeking of desperation for losing Flynn.

Alex Smith is NOT an upgrade over Moore, period. This move makes no sense at all and just wastes another year of our time if we pay Smith starter money.

Don't get caught up in numbers or an anomaly year. Smith has never been great, that ain't likely to change. This is pathetic. I already don't even want to watch a single game next year, and I bleed aqua and orange.

GARBAGE.
 
Henne to Miami is what Smith is to the 49'ers. A somewhat decent QB, took to long to mature. Shows glimpses of hope, but somehow never fully delivers? Fans want a change?
