Alex Smith to visit Miami.

Ok guys this has to tell us Philbin isn't as sold on Flynn as Finheaven is.

that's not what it tells me, it actually tells me philiban is a fkn idiot and Ireland should **** himself if we sign smith hoping its our franchise QB.

I am not a major Flynn fan but if we walk away without a 1st rd rookie QB or Flynn I'm telling u now im officially done as a dolphin fan, it just ain't worth the stress.

bye

i wouldn't mind alex smith...he's become a solid qb...but this reeks of a leverage play by smiths handlers...reeks

i dont understand the leverage thing. Flynn has been made an offer. Flynn has to make a decision. Flynn will make one soon. If Flynn says no to Miami, Miami has another guy in Alex Smith. I like Flynn and Smith for different reasons.

If someone has a problem with either of these guys? I ask again...who would you get?

Its the only move Smith or the Dolphins have.

If indeed the 49ers are going to sit and wait on Peyton's Decision.. Smith has to go build his free agency market.
And for the Dolphins, we gave all of the leverage to Flynn when Peyton denied us. If we still want Flynn, and Flynn wants to be here.. this should help drive down the market price for him.
I'm not sure how i feel about Smith over Flynn... he played fantastic last year, but the previous 5 were beyond forgettable. It kind of falls into the Reggie Bush bucket... proved the doubters wrong for one year, now lets see it again to make the previous 5 a distant memory.

Weren't the Niners only offering him 3 year deal? Not exactly a ringing endorsement. He may be open to signing an incentive ladden 2 year deal. Maybe a 2 year $12M?

its a leverage play against the 9ers and seahawks if they want smith...i'm pretty sure alex smith grew up on the west coast i know he went to utah he's played football in the pros only there he'll go to seattle if its b/t us and them unless we were to wow him with the contract offer...and it doesn't sound like we're willing to wow anyone with a contract at the position...

i'd put chances alex smith actually signs here at really damn slim...

at this point , go with moore , imo.
if denver or tenn gets peyton, smith back to san fran, and flynn to the seahawks, who would you get?

Smith also wants big money & contract ... that's why he's not signed with SF. I don't see us giving Smith big money & contract.

IMHO, I don't think anything will happen with Smith now, its just leveage for him & the Dolphins. IMHO, If Peyton goes to SF, Smith may consider a 1yr reasonable contract with us (wants big money).

Mentioned his personality is similar to Sancheez ... always talking about he's the man & valuable ... takes anything that doesn't go his way personally.

i'm pretty sure smith had a 2 year $16 mil offer on the table with san fran prior to this peyton thing he turned down...this visit smells like putting pressure on the 9ers first and foremost and second trying to drum up interest which will drive up the price if seattle wants smith should peyton go the 9ers...

leverage play...

leverage play...

Im seeing alot of buzz between drafting Crapernick and now Mannkng Smith wants out. Sounds reasonable he fired CAA hell I know I would leave.

plus having tom condon as his agent isnt helping him at all I think he knows he's done in san fran and peyton signs there.

If only they could decide to draft a QB in the first round and magically have a worthwhile one at the #8 spot. Its looking more and more like Tannehill will go prior to the 8th pick in the draft, one way or another, and up until a few weeks ago no one thought he was even all that worthwhile for the 8th pick to reach for. I want a first round QB too, but trading up or reaching on a QB with the 8th pick in the draft doesn't do the team any good either.

9ers apparently only acted interested in Manning to **** with the Cardinals, but in doing that, pissed off Alex Smith in the process, so he went to Miami to bust their balls.
