Alexander, Matthews cut

Looks like Pat McQuistan was cut by the Titans...let's hope Tony doesn't bring him back.

Who's restrelli? Thursday was the first time I ever seen or heard of him

After re-watching the Cowboy game last night, Mathews is a no-brainer. Even when he was in the vicinity of the play, he took bad angles and tackled VERY soft.....kind've reminds me of Chowder without the mouth.

Alexander on the other hand, had a couple of nice plays. He'll end up on somebody's PS

Matthews is a wr.

a guy who did nothing but for some reason people think he'll be on some teams 53 man roster if he's cut...i'm not seeing it at all

Yea I thought Alexander had a decent shot at unseating Culver but he didn't show enough in that 4th game. Pretty much was a toss up between Culver and him for the backup SS job. Culver taking a paycut definitely helped his cause to stick around and the INT didn't hurt either.

Restilli is a guy that the Patriots and Jets were high on also. It wouldn't shock me if they chose him to backup Bell, but I don't expect that to happen. Dude plays with a chip on his shoulder and he has been around the ball this preseason. Former CFL LB, converted NFL safety . . . he could be one of the surprises to make the roster but I'm hopeful he gets the PS.

So he's Ryan Grice Mullen or Kory Sheets part deaux

Obviously you are confused -- maybe you are reading too much Omar Kelly -- Restelli plays on the other side of the football. As stated in a different post he is a former CFL linebacker who is being converted to safety. Therefore he is a work in progress and last Thursday you saw during the second half of the game some of the progress. He may be released today but to not at least put him on the practice squad would be a mistake to not let him further develop on the practice squad. If the Dolphins pass on him he will show up somewhere else.

what i saw from restelli against the cowboys was a safety who was playin an awful lot up around the box...thus he was near the ball...i didn't see anything that says put this man on the 53...looks small for a former lb in the cfl...

and culver took a pay cut??? from what...like the $1.5 mil salary he was making before the cut??? news to me...whats his cap hit now??? watching culver he's making calls and getting people in the right position but he doesn't make any plays on his own...if its me he's one of the last on the 53 or i cut him and keep only 3 safeties with the idea reshad jones can play strong if something happened to bell...and use that extra slot on another position to keep a guy with more upside...i want the best 53 not a set # for each position...

nate ness needs to get his walking papers...he couldn't even cover the cowboys 3rd string guys

Yea he took a paycut to 700,000 . . . I would have probably took him over Alexander knowing that . . . I knew they weren't keeping him at 1.5 million.

Restilli is one of "those" guys . . . a Belichek guy, a Parcells guy, maybe even a "Sparano" guy . . . ala Cobbs. Don't have a clue what he has done in camp, but he hasn't been bad . . . but like you said not really a screamer for the 53 man roster.
