Both would be outstanding picks. Dan Cody is an excellent rusher off the edge. Great motor. Would be a force along with JT with Carter at DT.

Barnes would be another pure tackle in the mix. He's also a really, really good player. Might take a little while to develop. I was premature in projecting him at starting-day RT, but under Houck he could be an absolute force. All the talent is there.
 
VERY intriguing that Detroit went OT, as I predicted, but shyed away from Barnes. Am I missing something? Boomer?
 
here's my 10 bucks...let me on the Khalif Barnes bandwagon...I wouldn't mind a qb either : )
 
For some reason I have been thinking bust with Dan Cody, back when everyone thought he was going to be an early 1st rounder. I would rather have a Justin Tuck than Cody but will be happy with what Saban decides.

Nugent is incredible on the shorter FGs but don't have elite leg strength

Barnes I would really like if he was there at 46
 
That wasnt even detroit taking that oline right there that was their pick they traded to tenn i believe
 
Yeah, very surprising that Tennessee passed on Barnes in favor of Roos. I'm hoping for Barnes. I'll be excited with whoever Saban picks though. So far, he's given us no reason to doubt him.

I believe Carolina's in the market for an LT as well, they pick directly in front of us. :cry:
 
When I saw Cody play I immediately thought of Jason Taylor. Cody just seems special to me.

We could draft him and Channing Crowder, then have a chemically imbalanced defense....nickname our D the pill poppers or something.
