All bs aside...

Im guessing the Dolphins see something in Matt Moore...granted he is better than Chad Henne I think.

What Miami doesnt realize is: We are not in a position to ditch a receiver because he "punched a woman". All these other teams want to sign big name FA's, while Miami wants to sign smaller name guys for depth. Not gonna work. You cant take Justin Blackmon with the #1 pick because, whos gonna throw to him? And whos gonna block the guy who throws to him?

Then we apparently low-balled Eric Winston. With the money we just saved from Brandon Marshall, we should be offering Winston big money. We also should have done the same for Carl Nicks

Yea, give 8 million to a guard and 6 million to a RT, on a line that has the most expensive OT in the game and a first round pick center. Come on man.

I like Winston, I actually think he ends up here after seeing what else is out there . . . Nicks was a no no.

We "can" ditch a WR who is a head case and falls over vases, especially for 2 third rounders with a HC who has proven he can turn those picks into solid core players on offense (Jones, Nelson, Jennings, Cobb, Finley, Flynn, etc.)

If we truly are going to be spending a lot more time out of the 4/3 base as part of this hybrid defense, I wonder why we havent asked JT to try to go one more year. Situational speed and cheap.

If Manning would come (doubtful at this stage), I'm sure he probably would be down for one more ride . . . doubt he does it with Moore or even Flynn though, but yea just a situational guy is needed, preferebly a fast guy.

A CHEAP Dwight Freeney would be fine also, doubt he comes cheap after he is cut tho.

So, because they were extremely lucky in GB drafting WRs....it will happen here and is something to depend on? ok. Hartline/rookie/ and bess it is. Scary.

Manning isn't coming, get over it. Flynn is not going to be any ones saviour....esp with this WR core.

I will agree with o-line and possible pass rusher...but besides low balling the guy Ireland wanted, I don't hear any talk.

You think it was luck? IT was a combo of having a solid QB and picking the right guys for what they wanted to do. No coincedence that every guy they draft has success.

The Market for Pass Rushers is a bit inflated imo, not too many good cheap guys out there. Which reminds me....Our genius GM better get to negotiating an extension soon or we might not be able to afford Wake soon.

I thought the job of a GM was to plug holes not to create them!

Every draft is research and luck, you don't give up a probowl WR for nothing because you stepped in **** in past drafts. Esp with a different GM, not one you've worked with before.. And your situation has a big flaw...solid QB play.

Green Bay never "drafted" a first round pick WR, they turned 3 2nd rounders and a 3rd rounder into a lethal arsenal. Plenty of WR prospects in this draft, Miami will draft one.

So many options at RT, have no doubt that gets fixed. Last year we had a stubborn OL coach who wanted the worst washed up guy out there . . . we will be better at RT just by not having Colombo on this team.

We don't need a premium pass rusher opposite Wake, we need more of a situational speed guy . . . the main line of Odrick-Starks-Soliai-Wake is already in place, with Merling and McDaniel in the mix.

Yes QB is the biggest concern, let's see how this Manning/Flynn thing goes. It is early yet.

Stop panicking, it isn't nearly as bad as it looks.

Example Plan

Sign Flynn and Winston
Cut Fasano, Mcdaniel and restructure/cut Bell

1. Michael Floyd - WR
2. Coby Fleener - TE
3. Bruce Irvin - pass rusher
3. Michael Egnew - TE
4. Ryan Broyles - WR
5. TY Hilton - WR/returner

Just a few ideas

I like this idea kdawg

I guess there isn't a NFL draft going on. Do you people get that we will be drafting players and filling some needs/holes that way as well not just FA.

Is there a link for that ?? I didn't hear anything about lowballing anyone yet...Seems funny that every time a guy leaves the facility, automatically it's assumed we low balled him. In fact, I didn't even hear or read that we offered any contract ??

As for Marshall, the guy was a problem in the locker room and on the sidelines...not to mention he continued to get into more off the field issues with the law. Besides, both parties have said that they knew of the latest indescrepancy and that they'd been in talks for this trade since the combine...

There is some precedence that Philbin's offense doesn't need the big named receiver, but I'll be the first to admit that we'll miss some of his production on the field. I like what Gates may be able to offer us, but he's not Brandon Marshall.

I love the fact that they re-signed Soliai. With the bulk of the DL (our strength the last few years) back in place, Coyle can institute his D that much more easily so that we can pick up where we left off last season. Adding RMarshall is another good move. We finally have a FS that might not disappear once the ball is snapped....

I like MMoore, but don't know that he'll be the man for us. Irish has to answer that question, but FA is only 2 days old...so let's not hang the man in effigy just yet...

A #1 and a #2 wr, QB, and other holes....I'm sure we will find all our starters there. No problem....

Do you people get that even solid starters in the draft need time to develop if they are good at all?

Simply put in year one we needed a qb, te, wr, tackle, guard, olb/pass rusher, nt, safety, and cb. Going into year five we need a qb, te, wr, guard, tackle, olb/pass rusher, cb,, and safety. So with resigning Solia we filled one hole. Be patient guys it has only been five years!
